Aaaaand, I've a question for you all. I'm contemplating writing a fic with a pretty grumpy Warden who thinks that gratuitous appliance of force solves most problems, and thought of how the Landsmeet would go with that guy. So, if the Warden would react to the whole "I'm not staying if you recruit Loghain" thing by grabbing Alistair, holding a dagger to his throat and telling him he'd either stay or die right there, what do you think he'd do? I know he doesn't try to backpedal when Anora decides to execute him and the Warden doesn't talk her out of it, but considering the different situations I'm not quite sure what he'd do there.

As for your question, I think it kind of depends on if Alistair is hardened or not. A hardened Alistair would probably tell the warden, "Go ahead and do it. My life is over anyway." Although, an unchanged Alistair might have the same reaction, just not as venomous. The 2 times I've managed to force myself to do those endings, the unchanged Alistair seemed more sad than angry at the warden. But, then again, he was in love with my warden, so that may be the difference. The hardened Alistair was angry, no matter that he was in love with my warden. And Angry Alistair is... well... angry.

@TK: Thanks! I'm pretty proud of her talent. I don't know where she got it though.

Thank you! And I imagine Alistair would be unhardened. I can't see him getting along with the guy who jokes with Shale about crushing heads, only sides with Caridin because Shale is his BFF (not that he'd admit it) and who would let Isolde sacrifice herself. Especially when said guy doesn't like him much either.

Hmm. I might have to get the hardened execution scene one of these days. I've only had unhardened yet... And if the warden is a male, he's kind of weird and talks as if he and he and the Warden had gotten along well even though he's only at neutral, but I've heard it's pretty much the same no matter the approval if he's unhardened and not romanced.

Allow me as a newly returning DA:O player to say "squee" myself here. Alistair has got to be one of the sexiest dudes ever. And he can make you the Queen of Ferelden? What's not to like? I'd marry him in a heartbeat if he asked me.

About the "I swear I don't know what's happening" cartoon - I so totally would not care. <hoping I'm not being too "blue" here, and the easily offended should move on>: He could use his fingers, tongue. Heck, just that whiskery face on my neck would be enough. Who cares if he "doesn't know what's happening"? He's so "my type", it's almost enough just for me to look at him and make him smile and blush. He need never fear his "performance" with the likes of me.

Three days?   

I was just thinking how I miss the days when we used to have weekly themes for writing stories here in the Alistair thread, so I thought I'd come by and shamelessly promote put a link to a story I wrote with Alistair. It actually stars Merilsell's Lenya (thanks, Meri!) and my own Dailana, as well as Strom Cousland (a Warden by BSN user Schratty, whose praises I cannot sing enough of - either Strom's or Schratty's). Anyway, I'll leave the link here, but it is intended to be a fun little peace in an AU Ferelden after the Fifth Blight.
