I'm still trying to find the reference where it states that Cailin was born in 9:05 Dragon When I first started playing the game (not having read any of the books) I took the first to be born in free Ferelden literally and placed his birth in 9:01 Dragon. I assumed he and Anora were the same age. It will be interesting to see where Celene's age comes from as I can't remember any reference to her age.tklivory wrote...
*cracks knuckles*
All right, let's get this cracking. So, here's a link from the lovely Tumblr NolaCousland that takes some information from the upcoming Thedas book o' lore and puts it out there as semi-quasi-definitely-canon lore of Thedas and Dragon Age.
Some interesting Alistair-related info:
Cailin was born in 9:5
Celene was born in 9:6
Alistair was born in 9:10
Now, if this timeline is true, that means that Alistair is, canonically, 20 when the game begins. Anyone have thoughts on that?
(to add fuel to the fire, 9:10 is also the same year of the Calling, when Maric meets a certain Orlesian mage Grey Warden...)
Bwahahaha!
Speaking of Theirins meeting them some sexy elves... and it's Thursday and I miss the good ol' days of smut Thursday...

As to Alistair's age... at first I thought he was 18 just judging by his appearance and I can't say that I really think he's any older than that. But now I am thinking he's maybe 19... I know, I know... it's just a year's difference. I tend to believe that The Calling is a fine piece of fan fiction from David Gaider, but it just discounts too much of what you learn within the game. Having said that, if you truly believe the baby at the end of that book is Alistair, he would still only be 19 at the beginning of the game, perhaps close to being 20, but no older. This, of course, is assuming that pregnancy for elves is 9 months.
And that's my two cents!
I'm eagerly looking forward to this book, but I'm afraid that it's going to make my head explode! All I'm saying is that if they try to integrate the books into the lore of the game, it's going to create lots of confused furor. A big one is trying to account for Anders being in 2 places at once. I finally decided to just ignore it and enjoy the games.tklivory wrote...
The dates come from a book that's coming out that is supposedly an official book o' canon lore from Bioware titled Dragon Age: The World of Thedas. I'm assuming some things in it will cause great ripples in the multiverse of fandom headcanon, however, in the 'preview' of the book on Amazon, those little snippets are available. It does contradict some stuff the writers have talked about here on BSN and elsewhere, but then the writers are supposed to be part of the people who were consulted for the book.
'Tis a bit confusing. Still, just wanted to post the tidbits here and see what people thought!

Just a warning, Photobucket will be changing to the new site in two weeks. All of these Alistair screenshots that are link from photobucket and posted on this thread might not be here.
Ive tried the beta and linking photos is still buggy.

If Alistair has a cameo in DA3:I what would you like to see in it?
