Such a bummer. Could have been a wedding for other races in maybe the forest or something. Small with just the companions and your warden walks a path alone or something. Even at camp because there are a few camp jokes. The warden could marry. There's nothing anti lore about them marrying as far as I know. Just that it would never be a royal wedding. Just a simple mod, not really elaborate at all. Just because the writers didn't bother with it doesn't mean it's not lore friendly.

Yeah I know warden wedding is lore friendly too but not the royal wedding. I think she intended to make some other wedding mods too but I think she either changed her mind or just dont have the time anymore. Which is very sad I think, cuz she's such a talented modder.

So I found a whole new sexy for Alistair... make him a rogue and have him wear the DA2 warden scout outfit. Oh my. He really is so much hotter as a rogue. He's dueling now and holy crap, he shreds things. Yep. Love him as a rogue. Just started the a game I saved at ostagar. I was a scout but thought I'd go for a mage and when I switched through console I was controlling Alistair. He become a mage. I was shocked. So I made Morrigan a scout too just for the kicks of it. She's pretty badass. I think I'll maybe Leliana a mage. Oh the irony. Should have made Morrigan a templar.

 

But really, running alistair as a rogue is .... his calling!

 

For real? You can use console to change ANYone's class in the game?...hmmmmm...

My head cannon is way too angsty and it involves sebastian. Alistair would be 6 ft tall blonde hair and blue eyes ( im a sucker for them) unheardened and dumped by super petite 5 ft 4 cousland to marry some air headed noble's daughter for her healthy ovary. She wandered through deep roads alone and met the da2 lot and found seb as a rebound. A couple of years later became sebs bethrothed and went back to highever for Fergus' wedding with seb and met alistair and his hag there. He is still childless. And alistair and her had some ansty conversation about what could have been but my cous cous telling him that at least she's good enough for some royalty but not the one she loved. Blah blah blah tons of angst.....



But if someone could pleaaase make a fan fic out of that, I promise to take your goldfish for a walk for 20 years till my calling!

That's sweet! Is that an ending for the dalish elf? I can't remember if I finished my dalish elf. I think I switched characters.

Well her choosing to return to her clan and Alistair saying he would go with her is, the rest I headcanon. 

They return to her people to rebuild their homes and start a new life, he is welcomed among the elves and they accept him as one of their own. Which eventually leads him to asking the keeper permission to marry Mahariel and give her a bonding ceremony, to which the keeper does. 

Some of the male elves take Alistair out to teach him to hunt and he makes a bonding gift for his girl out of the teeth and claws of his first bear. Then he takes her down to the lake and proposes to her in the moonlight......

I sometimes make him a two hander....now that is sexy, seeing him swinging his giant sword around, sending enemies flying.  Two handed warriors have some pretty sexy animations.

Good lord, please don't.    So your Cousland would be with someone else and STILL pining away for the 'one who got away' years later?  Sucks for Sebastian his girl is so hung up on the king.   Haven't you heard, living well is the best revenge?  In my fanfic, my Surana and Teagan hooked up, but I had Alistair find love with a noblewoman in his court who was a decent young lass and loved him, and Neria definitely approved/supported his choice!  And it was Hardened Alistair on the throne who told Eamon to 'stick it' when he suggested someone else.  

 

No angst (or at least no long angst fests for me), I like my imaginary people to be happy.  I couldn't even be mean to my Sims people.

 

And please don't walk your goldfish, poor lil thing has no feet and lacks lungs.

I'm ever-so-fond of my high dex, dual wield, off-tank Warrior Alistair. He's got all the super-schmexxy dancin' around DW moves, he never dies, he still has Templar abilities (which are useful and schmexxy), he doesn't have any dialogue inconsistencies, and best of all, since he doesn't have a shield, my Warden has an unobstructed view of his ass when he's walking in front of her.  (Priorities. I got 'em.)

In my game he hasn't used the Templar skills a lot. Sometimes, but when I set them up there are only a few instances so it's not a loss. This way I can run with him and still get what I want. I can add it to him by console - holy smite and whatnot. But he never really used it a lot or at least not in recent games since I started changing his tactics.

 

The lovely thing about DAO is everyone can play it however they like. I don't use console ( or mod) cheats, so adding non-class appropriate abilities via that method wouldn't work for me. And TBH, Alistair is such a paladin, I'd have a difficult time taking him seriously as a rogue. *points at the rogue!doppleganger!Alistair this discussion created in my head and snickers* (Though I do force him to use poisons and bombs. I think that might be why he never loved me. )

 

And his Templar skills are not only an integral part of my play-style, they are important to building the relationship between Alistair and my Templar-specced S+S Warrior F!Cousland. (So important I even made a mod to reflect that.) And when I'm running on enhanced Nightmare difficulty, with just Alistair, Warden, and Dog in the party, it's nice to be able to deal with those pesky mages they run into. (Without dying. Because no-one dies in my game. Except the bad guys. And once in a great while, my Warden.  )

Finally had the guts to make alistair die for me. Omg it was so sad but the mooded fort drakon kiss was just so sweet. I did not think I wanted to do it again, but reloaded 3x just for that kiss. Then the alistair's funeral mod made my lips quiver.

I dont think I will be able to do it again. My thirst of sadistic pleasure has been sated.

The kiss brakes my heart. Somebody posted a video of the scene in this thread a while ago and I watched it and cried like a baby. I don't think I'll be able to do it in any of my games

I knew Crossing Jordan for years but since I'm german I usually saw the dubbed versions and didn't recognize his voice. After I found out that Steve Valentine is Alistairs voice I rewatched the first season in english and swooned over him talking forensic stuff with the Ali-voice 

 

Anyone who has access to Crossing Jordan videos or pretty much anything Steve has been in could make some amazing stuff with clips from his voice. I'm sure they are all over the net. We could get some fantastic scenes. Oh if I know how to do them and had the patience... that would be so much fun. I'd love to do wedding scenes with him and find clips with him speaking...

 

I wish I had the skills to do something like that. Unfortunately I'm without talent and quite useless for the fandom
