Gathered from the page before this alone. I get it, it's a place to gush about Alistair so naturally it gravitates to all games. Just... maybe I'll gush to myself for now.

But I just finished playing DA2 and I really like her now! WHYYYY?
Actually, I used a drunk, exiled Alistair in this import... even though I hear he might not show in DA:I, maybe he's off somewhere being happier than Warden and King Alistair.
I have this headcanon that he sobers up and kills my Warden one day. I think I made that guy too evil for my own liking. ![]()

Okay, save him ![]()
I like to think Drunk Alistair is, indeed happier than king or warden Alistair, or has the potential to be so. Hope is so much more powerful than even love IMO. But he has demons of his own making to fight in that instance.

To me, the choice is easy. I could never make Alistair a wandering drunk (partly because that requires sparing Loghain, which I could NEVER DO), and I could almost never force him to be king since it would make him miserable. I think it's best to let him stay with the Grey Wardens that he loves like family and feels most at home with, and stay with his beloved Warden (if she romanced him).
As for Alistair or Hawke? Well, that's easy. I don't like DA2 or Hawke, and Alistair has the Hero of Ferelden waiting for him, so I'd choose Alistair in a heartbeat every time. No contest.
I bet Weeks will just kill him off to avoid headache
He better not miss with Morrigan,Leliana and Alistair, Gaider will ambush him then ![]()
When I finally met Goldanna she was quick to make a racist remark about my Warden, asking Alistair if "that elf" was his servant.
Then he immediately told her not to talk to the Warden like that. "He is my friend and a grey warden like me".
I was like "Hell yeah, Alistair! You tell her!". When not being romanced he still is a huge bro.
Aye Alistair is the only one i'd call mate in the franchise, spot on character Whether in romance or bromance, that guy will never let you down.

Maybe but I bet Weeks will now put Solas cameo from now on. Every writer has their faves after all. I'm rrally dreading that.
God i know, you don't have to tell me, he'll turn the whole lore to fit egg head cameo, and what could go wrong with all the praise egg head get from his fandom, solas this and solas that, forget about DA:O settings focus on romance, more shallow side quests, less and less cutscenes, more and more bright disney theme.
Good heavens am already having a nightmare anticipating what he'll do, and nothing wrong with that, i mean losing the guy who wrote the game is no simple thing.
And to be fair, i liked Weekes work on jack and Kasumi, though i don't know if he was co-worker on the dreadful ends of ME3.
So fingers crossed i guess.
Didn't he write Mordin Solus too? I loved all ME companions specially that Salarian and Legion.
I never got around to buying Kasumi because I'm in neck deep on TW3 right now.
Also if Weeks won't bring Alibear back, I think he's more than capable of writing another equally squee-worthy character like Al
Aye he wrote Mordin and Tali and other several characters. kudos to the man.
Yeah no blaming for that, TW3 is mind blowing, yet TW2 is still the dearest to me, i have great memories of it, obviously TW3 is better by kilometers(yeah i use the metric system), but i's just nostalgia i guess, it was one of those games that i had blast time while playing.
Alistair deserve better, if he's not coming back, give him an honorable ending at least(other than death by AD, cuz i never do that), though i don't see how anyone can top Alistair to me, he's my bro ![]()
Yep. If Alistair has to go then let him go with a big bang in the Deep Roads preferably with my warden since they're never ever bringing the Warden back. At least put them to rest the heroic way.
God you have evil thoughts.
Now it's the warden time huh, well guess what, no one can kill my freaking Cousland
, i know some of the folks here don't want him back using lame reasons "warden's not voiced" yeah big deal.
Am still playing the game hoping, clinging for his return, then him Morrigan and Kieran will live atop a rainbow, Cousland deserve with Morrigan what Geralt and yennefer has. my two protagonist will not give up on their sorcerers, they know better.
With any luck Weekes will feel the same way.
If they had to kill Alistair, it should be grand, in front of all of Fereldan...no...in front of all of Thedas, in an act of pure heroism and sacrifice with memorable last speech, it's Alistair so we know that he'll crack a joke at the end of it(swooping is bad
), something fitted for a true legend, and in his final moment Maric appears..he's not dead, Alistair didn't end his life, somehow he managed to survive, and then the father comfort the son, and the whole gathering burst in tears as they follow the father who's carrying the dead body of his son to his final destination, the warden show up aching at the sight of his/hers comrade/lover soulless body, knowing that they couldn't say their farewells, they make a gesture to Maric, whisper something in Alistair ears, then the warden and the father lay him into his grave.

I like the way you think. Errr - but is Al dead or not

I'm getting closer to the landsmeet in this very first run, but I'm torn berween the options.
A true Grey Warden does whatever it takes to end a Blight.
A true Grey Warden doesn't judge or choose new candidates based on morality. The Order takes in criminals of all kinds.
But, my desired outcome is having Alistair ruling alone without that greedy ****** on his side.
The only time I ever let Al go and chose Loghain was in the Keep. And I always have Al fight Loghain in the best boss fight. ![]()

And you shall find the answer.
You do it with dialogue choices after you visit Goldana. You choose the one that says - you're not an idiot but you have to not let people push you around (kind of).
