Maybe they don't look so much alike when you see the profile or the high-res render, but in the game they look "quite" similar I think.

But there are other NPCs who look more like Alistair than Cullen.

Anyway, the one who ends up being the most handsome is DA:I Cullen  :P

Apart from his half-brother, they are...?

But only if he has a pretty dress. :P

Duncan: *deep, long suffering sigh*

I love that exchange.  I tried to make my warden as snarky as Alistair.

As for Alistair clones, I always thought those modded Alistair's sporting Anders' ponytail looked more like Anders than Alistair, but that could have been people pulling Anders' face out of the toolset and substituting it outright.  I think Cailan looks something like him, but I've seen Cailan's face in the toolset and in comparison, they really don't look the same either, just similar.

Yeah... Starfang and Maric's Blade. He gets all the pretty things. (Makes up for the ugly girlfriends I keep tossing at him... swords are better than  broads anyway. )

And Rak's Alistair morph is the best (that's the one in first few screencaps)! I used that forever, until I got the silly idea that he HAS to have stubble and that the stubble needs to get progressively heavier throughout the game. Then I made my own. (The morph in the last screencap.)

Okay. Your's is similar to the one I use which is by McGee92127. Yummy.

And Sylvanaerie - my thanks and you are not wasting my time ;) . I will look into it - and as now I usually leave Wynne in the tower, (if I can work out to get RtO back) I will not have to listen to the, oh, so creepy, dialogue about her cradle robbing. :o

Ahh, great. Everyone missed the point.

I was referring to the BROWN EYES and blond hair combination.

It seems rather common in this series though we rarely see anyone like that in the real world.

Yes Alistair is nice in DA:I but sorry, to me Cullen is more handsome in DA:I.

The funny thing about DA:I is that no one aged  :P Cullen even looks younger than in DA:O.

@theskymoves: unfortunately I play on ps3 so I cannot do screenshots. If I meet again new NPCs who look like him I'll try to remember which ones.

I think Leliana looks like a more mature woman now.

Some might find it odd that she still looks young, but well... of course she does. She is in her early 30's.

Did you mean the mods? Because I can't remember Alistair or anyone having blonde and brown eyes. They if I recall correctly were coppery brown hair.

Although my favorite Alistair mod was same everything but with blond-ish streaks. I met a friend's girlfriend when I stayed in Brazil for a year in Copa. She has natural brown hair with very very light brown streaks. I can't remember where she was from, but she came from near Amazon. I thought it was beautiful and i remembered my Alistair mod.

Unmodded Alistair is a blonde, (Dark blonde).  One of the dialogues in Ft Drakon while you're escaping, the guard even calls on Alistair during a drill's question and answer time, specifically calling him "Blondie".  Alistair's eyes are supposed to be 'hazel' but they seem to be more of a 'honey-colored' instead of greenish-brown.  My husband has hazel eyes and they are no where near Alistair's color.

Maybe I'm colour blind and don't see this blonde business. I only saw coppery/dark ginger/chestnut colour. Don't mind me.

The thing is, I barely recognize her (not physically, but her behavior and temper) in DA:I, where she is dark, always have solutions like "assassination" "poisoning" "threatening people" etc... while in DA:O, she wants to help everyone, want people to survive, believes in second chances, doesn't like it when you threaten or assasinate people... she is SO different. I agree that some characters have an evolution, but this one seems so far from her DA:O character...

Maybe she's a lot more pragmatic and hardened. Going through a year defeating the blight by any means necessary and in a totally miserable state, is a far cry from her life full of Orlesian shoes before tackling the blight head on.

Oooor maybe the warden was a bad influence on her :)

Leliana makes sense to me in DA:I. She just lost the person she cared most for, and she wants the Inquisition to succeed in finding those responsible. You can ofc guide her yet again, like the Warden did. It was a fun little callback for people who played DA:O. Also she went through alot more in those 10 years from DA:O till DA:I than we know. You do get a taste of this in DA:II, but you need the Sebastian DLC for that (le sigh).

Also Alistair looks the best in next-gen graphics, but Cullen is tasty. Its hard to pit them against eachother, because they are my two favourite romance and characters of the franchise.

I don't think she suddenly became like that because of the loss of Justinia.

I reminds me of innocent Liara of ME1 vs Liara agent of the shadows and businesswoman, cold and distant...

It isn't "suddenly".  Did you finish Inquisition, because I don't want to spoiler you if you haven't?  There are also hints of this woman in Leliana's Song as well, though her ruthlessness seems more playful there.

Spoiler

Her cameo in DA2 shouldn't be overlooked.

At that point she already was back to her old spy antics.

Where is her cameo in DA2? I didn't finish the game so I didn't see her, I guess.

@Sylvanaerie: yes I finished Inquisition, but still, even if she went through a lot of things, it's still a big change. Even when you play to the DLC when she was a bard, she was very different from the cold Inquisition Leliana.

I think you need Seb's dlc to get her cameo. I'm not sure though.

Oh, and I found another NPC who looks a bit like Alistair: the templar who is guarding the boat near the tower of the Circle of Magi.

He's not had handsome as Alistair and looks a bit older, more wrinkles, but same shape of face, same haircut, same color of hair, etc.

Apart from the hairstyle/colour (there's a very limited range of tints, so not every NPC can have a unique palette), do you seriously think Templar Carroll looks anything like Alistair?

As I say, when you take the detailled/profile/HD picture, of course you see all the differences. But when you play the game on your old ps3, it's not THAT obvious (in-game he would look like a skinny and wrinkled Alistair with blue eyes).

I'm not saying that they are clones, I just wonder why they didn't even try to make more differences, at least change the hair color? when they use the same hairstyle, they should at least try not to give exactly the same hair color and everything than companion characters. Especially when that character has the same type of armor, etc.
