Vanalia, you are far too passionate about the issue for it to be considered mere acknowledgment of flaws.

When the debate was just betwen sylvanaerie and me it was far more peaceful. But when you are the minority against the majority you feel like you have to talk louder to be heard and put more energy into it.

It doesn't change the fact that Alistair is my favorite romance of DAO and that when I romance him I avoid the conflicts at the Landsmeet because I don't like to see him like that. The conflicts at the Landsmeet happens in a playthrough where my Wardens doesn't romance him. But I can't help being friends with him, even if I put him back to his place from time to time when he's complaining too much. "Alistair, look at the bright side of life!"

Vanalia, I really wish you are on pc so you can experience the tons of wonderful fan made mods for Alistair. I did not install them until my 10th ish pt but when I did, it made my game all new specially irsa and royal wedding.

*is playing the Sims* I'm taking a bit of a break of DA for a bit, so that I'll get into even more. Oh and I have about two people with an Alistair romance, I enjoyed it so much I made a Female Amell that left him a Warden alongside her. She doesn't like sharing with him with all of Ferelden (and he was unhardened, so he would've crushed her poor heart if he became king, so she left him a Warden) and I'm so glad I did that. He was so sweet about my Warden in DAI! Agh! The curse of Chantry boys, I tell you (yes, I love Cullen, he's one of my Canons, i was writing the other message very late at night, so I was tired!)

Completely neutral about Alistair but he seems to have looked better in Origins than DAI and not just because of the age thing...they did something to his face.

She also has the taint. But yea, they did change his face. I like it, but his hair was darker in the first game.

I know. It was a hypothetical. They really did make him uglier in DAI though and Loghain got prettier.

Well, if Morrigan is the one being romanced, she comments that the taint increases performance, not decreases it.  So if anything, the warden and Alistair/Leliana/Zevran/Morrigan (whoever is being romanced--maybe more than one if you use the Equal Love Mod) are making like bunnies every time the group camps.  Gives a new perspective on the comments from Leliana and Morrigan about Alistair's performance to the warden romancing him eh? 

 

As to who looks good, I think both   Alistair and Cullen just got better in Frostbite.  Loghain actually improved in looks (for an old guy of 60 he looks really damn good--overly wide jaw aside).  Unfortunately Teagan looks like the misbegotten love child of a randy Howe and a nug.   

Bad Bioware. Whoever did that to the Bannhammer needs to be boiled in oil!

I think male wardens draws the short end of the stick here because Alistair and female warden both got that same stamina, while the other runs out of fuel way before the male warden does.

Unfortunately I don't like playing on PC except for some rare games, so I don't have the mods... Except for DA2 because I got it on PC by mistake. The good side of it are the mods but I don't use them very much, it seems complicated to install? I'm not used to them. But if I had DAO and DAI on PC I would really install mods for nicer hair or things like this! (and long hair for DAI Loghain).

Zevran said that Alistair has a problem when he heard him and the warden in the tent, no? He says that he stops in the middle or have a rythm problem or something? But if there is the threesome with Isabela she says in DA2 that he does it like a prince, so maybe he improved (or Zevran taught him some tricks)

But I think it's cute if Alistair is awkward at his first tries, he's a virgin after all. It would be strange if he was directly an expert.

I think he looks good in DAI, his hair is blond, yes, but it looks good on him. Everyone looks better in DAI except that poor Teagan (it's not only physical, he is very despising and cold in Trespasser. I almost didn't recognize him.)

Alistair isn't ugly in DAI, he looks wonderful in Warden Blues, and Loghian did get a pretty-up despite Loghian being way older then Alistair.

Gosh no. It's as easy as unzipping and dropping files and even easier with DAzip. Perfect for idiots like me!

OK, it's just that for some of them they say that we need that and that other mod to make it work first, etc, so I didn't really look into it.

The Skyrim ones are pretty easy because you just have to click on the mod through Steam and it installs it for you.

Anyway I have DAO on ps3, so, no mods.

I never said Loghain was a 'pretty boy', but for an old guy of 60 he looks pretty good.  And I like his DAI appearance a lot more than his Origins appearance.  He's also a lot more likable in Inquisition.

Loghain is not really handsome in DAI. Something about his mouth bugs me... Too large maybe... And I regret his long hair. But yes for a guy of 60 years old he still looks good, no grey hair, etc. If we compare to Teagan or Eamon who was already looking 80 when he was 45 (and the poison didn't do this alone).

So in general everyone looks better in DAI except Teagan.

It's not only him, even Cullen looks younger than in DAO. And Alistair didn't seem to age either.

But in DAO Loghain was already looking younger than other characters of his age or younger than him. Maybe the black hair effect ^^
