Alistair HAS aged in DAI. I can't link anything right now cuz I'm on the phone and I'm lazy. But he looks more chizzled and scarred now and even freckly.

They changed his hairstyle DAO Alistair would have been horrified considering how he likes his hair the way it is

Thanks for the lovely screenies to look at Xety, but obviously this is troll feeding time at the zoo.  Just ignore it and it will huff and puff and go away.  This troll is just sniffing around for some extra poo lying around to fling from its cage and lacks ammunition (and imagination).  It only stopped because it smelled blood in the water during the previous discussion.

Truthfully, that Dafoe looks more like Howe than Loghain.

Oh sorry. It was posted after an Ali pic was posted so I thought....

Anyway, I had to force myself and YT loghain in inquisition and the mouth and nose are similar but the rest are certainly not. It seems the designers deemed it necessary to make him and Alistair look like they haven't slept for 10 yrs. Those deep dark circles around the eyes :s

Being a Grey Warden is not easy, it seems! and they've been hiding in a cave for quite a long time, so... they didn't sleep well, I guess ^^

Becuase of Spiders. I couldn't sleep with Giant Spiders coming down from the ceiling randomly. Or rain pouring down on me. But King Alistair looks way worse then Warden Alistair, who looks handsome in Warden Blues.

I can't imagine they are getting much rest at all.  If you ask any of the three if they are also experiencing what the rest of the wardens are, they will tell you they are.  So...yea...none of them are getting much peace lately.    It was also my first clue

Of course King Alistair would have it worse.  He's getting the same visions/messed up stuff the rest are, only add to it all the responsibilities of being king--and unable to do anything about it--on top of all that.

I can't imagine they are getting much rest at all.  If you ask any of the three if they are also experiencing what the rest of the wardens are, they will tell you they are.  So...yea...none of them are getting much peace lately.    It was also my first clue

I hadn't really thought about King Alistair because we don't really get to talk to him. But, yeah, he should be having the same problems as the rest of the wardens in Orlais and Ferelden.

No, I thought my Hawke had a lovely face. I could create it to look like a Warrior Princess if I so desired. I like Hawke more in DAI then I do in DA2 due to her face. Lady Hawke has such a scupltable face...

Poor King Alistair... His wife is missing in my Canon, which does not help things.

A frustrating thing in DA2 is that you cannot have the scar on Hawke's face if you choose to personalize Hawke. Or you would need a mod and play on PC (hey, I have it on PC, I should try to find that)

 

Does Alistair say that he was never been considered like one of them and rejected? because Loghain does, so it should have been even harder for him. But he doesn't like company very much so maybe he feels better alone, but that's a sad life.

But i was wondering why Alistair now answers to clarel. Did my warden step down from being Warden Commander before she left? Warden commanders are only answerable to the first warden.

I think it's made to fit every kind of scenario. In my DA:I playthrough my Warden was made queen, and Stroud was answering to Clarel as well. I guess they couldn't change that.

 

When your warden became Commander, maybe she gave up her title when she went missing/she decided to go far away for her mission.

 

What is the warden supposed to do anyway? is it just an excuse for not showing her in DA:I ? "yeah she left for some kind of secret mission"...

Clarel is/was the Orlesian Warden-Commander. The HoF is/was the Fereldan Warden-Commander. Each nation with a Warden presence has its own W-C.

 

Is canon Warden!Alistair even assigned to Ferelden? DA2 implies that he's with the Marcher Wardens, at least in 9:34.

In my King Cousland keep import Alistair implied Anora had 'convinced him' to seek other stomping grounds, I think?  I was in shock that he seemed to be pretty upset with Gawain and had a falling out--presumably over the 'why aren't you dead'? question in regards to the whole ending of the Blight, since Alistair didn't know about Gawain's deal with Morrigan that saved both their lives.
