Yeah, indeed! But it's good to image... If she didn't find it of course. Or the cure prevented them from ever being effected by The Taint, becuase Fiona was cured of it, and she has an immunity to the taints effects. I get the feeling that would happen. And my Cousland would totally be one of people that would sit down with the GW and tell them to at least keep some of the GW, gw. And it's only for elderly GW only, so they'd still have young GW (or those who haven't heard the Calling yet). So yeah, plenty of people to kill.
The next person to kill the Archdemon would probaly be someone that my Cousland approved off (such as being scarscatic, a natural leader, good in combat, well liked by everyone, willing to do whatever it takes to whatever it takes to kill the Archdemon). She'd probaly have asked if this individual could be the next hero, so that she could mentor them on how to kill the Archdemon, and how it'd kill you. So a person unafraid of dying for the greater good, would do.
Considering the games are moving away from Ferelden I doubt we will hear much about the HoF in such an instance. For which I am glad. Only a grey warden can kill the Archdemon since the taint is drawn to the taint. Being cured of the taint means no more taint to draw in the Archdemon soul. Why else would Fiona be forced back to the Circle? She can't be a Grey Warden anymore. And do you really believe Bioware is going to mass produce what makes it's poster girl sparkly snowflake special?
Any Grey Warden with the skill to lop off it's head will do. They won't need a 'sparkly handpicked star' to do it. By tradition, the eldest among the Grey Warden's slays the AD, not some young recruit.
*Edit* And since your Cousland didn't die, how would she answer those awkward questions and deal with the fall out of those answers? You couldn't claim Riordan did it since he received no honors for it. How do you think the Wardens would feel that you 'took credit for another man's deed'. No thanks, I'd rather not have anything to do with my original character and any further blights. One would be enough for Neria.
Not sure about how elder grey wardens would feel about being cured of what makes them part of the organization. Not seeing many lining up for the 'honor' of having their Grey Warden-ness removed. Recall how the gentleman in Inquisition was that Clarel speaks to at Adamant? All about "Duty". Though i suppose a few will volunteer, they may feel the young, who would benefit from it more, should take the cure instead.
