Nope, Cousland and Alistair do not repopulate Ferelden all by themselves.  One of the more nauseating fanfic aspects out there is the lady warden having tons of kids with Alistair or any other random NPCs in the game.  Maybe with a partner who is not tainted, like Zevran or Ser Perth or Teagan, it's possible, but not with Alistair.  I get the feeling those fics are written by women who took offense at Alistair for dumping their 'tainted womb' warden and they just had to prove, if even in their own lore contradicting head canon that Alistair was wrong and they could have multiple children.   

 

All circumstances of leadership lead to another succession crisis.

 

Anora married to Alistair: No child because one is potentially barren, the other tainted, no heir

Anora married to Male Cousland: Same situation as with Alistair

Alistair married to Female Cousland: Both are tainted, no heir

Anora solo: Never marries because of Daddy Issues, no heir

 

The older a healthy woman gets, the more markedly her fertility drops and we don't know what damage that is quite possibly irreversible is done to her lady parts by being a grey warden.  Lady warden is pushing 30 or more years old by the time the events of Inquisition happen.  And we don't know if there even is a cure.  After all, no one has tried and succeeded in 1000 years.  Of course, the PC snowflake might just pull it off because: Player Character Specialness.  But  I'm not going to hold my breath.  Bioware loves to monkey with the story.  I get the feeling the 'cure' was just a fan appeasement anyway, with no real consequence.  Or DA4 may just prove me wrong and it causes a stir in the ranks of the Wardens.  Only time will tell.  

 

The more Bioware messes with the warden the more it fubars up the retirement scenario I had in my head of my Surana, childless but happy and fulfilled helping King Alistair run Ferelden.

I wish that I had helpful information regarding Corypheus, but due to my own limited training during the Blight, I know less of ancient darkspawn lore than do most Wardens. I am engaged in a search of my own. All Grey Wardens who do not fall in battle eventually fall to something known as the Calling, a magic that preys upon our own connection to the Blight and the darkspawn. Rather than such foul magic eventually leading to my death, I have determined to find a way to negate this Calling and save all Wardens from its effects.

No, it doesn't. The paragraph that theskymoves quotes is the same regardless. All of the variable posts -- queen, dwarf, etc, are AFTER that.

So...Morrigan has the little touch? She did get pregnant (My case, Cousland) through blood magic, I've read here that regardless of BM or not, it's easier for a Non - Warden and some Warden to generate a child.

Honestly, this is all confusing and gets worse with each game.

Anyways, I miss my boy Alistair, even more in DAI.

The banter my Cousland had with him on Origins still gives me some good chuckles after all these years, and I guess a romance must be even better.

I don't mind Leliana and Wynne,but Shale is very much a different case than any other companions.

Each companion that joined the warden to fight against the blight (expect Shale) did that without any term of condition,Shale on the other hand made clear from the start that her help was to seek answer to discover her own past.

I have only two point adress.

 

One is on the heir issue and the other is for the cure

 

-Kieran can be used as an heir if he  is not a mage,however this is a plausible scenario only if he is the Warden king son (who used the eluvian in WH to met him) since Alistair king/Loghain never met him and someone like Anora sure will use the childs for her own end only problem is Morrigan but as things are going she has to allow the child to chose his own path.

 

As for the cure against the taint Fiona succeeded and i'm start to think that may be because of something that the GW of the Anderfel gave to her.
