My problem with DAI elves is that they have cartoonishly huge heads. I don't even know how they can balance that thing on those narrow shoulders.

Do the words, Alistair, Alistair, Alistair.  Ring a bell to anyone?

Do you guys think Alistair would stop looking at Duncan as some embodiment of everything that is good if he knew about his past?

I don't know if he would think worse of him, since he knows that Gray Wardens make recruits of criminals and those who are very down on their luck. He knows that Duncan won't hesitate to put a knife in someone who decides they don't want to be a GW. I suspect he doesn't think that Duncan has been a saint in the past.

No, because Duncan is a father figure to him, so.....

Do you think Alistair is still mad at the warden who made him marry Anora?

Not at all. I think he comes to worship her. An intelligent, pretty and sensible lady willing to shoulder all responsibility for the kingdom and let him be happy and important and comfortable? If she learned to laugh at his jokes she would be perfect.

Anora might feel a little resentful though. A handsome, mallable and submissive younger man to play with at night is surely nothing to sneeze at, and the Theirin blood is very useful for PR and legal issues, but she might have appreciated someone better suited to helping her with the administration. And easier to have a serious conversation with. I see a lot of headaches in her future on his account. It's a tradeoff. Better than someone who might undermine her authority, I guess.

Loghain is probably still pissed about it, but he ain't a whiner.

Depends if you think Alistair and Warden are good friends.  I think Alistair would forgive you if you made him King.  I thought Alistair was okay with marrying Anora since you have to get Anora and him to agree to the marriage.  I think Anora would get used to having a handsome guy like Alistair but that depends on whose writing Anora.

I get the feeling Anora likes the Cousland (if married) more. That one epilogue made him a bit more flashy than Alistair. It's the same reason she probably liked Cailan.

Alistair and Anora look like the perfect couple in DAI, but I bet it's all business.

They probably sleep in separate rooms ( Anora stays in the bigger one). :D

I don't get why girl gamers like Alistair. I guess it's the Brad Pitt face.

As a guy i never got the bromance vibe from him the same way it was with Garrus for example.

Maybe that's because you never got high approval with him.

Sharing stories about his time with other Grey Wardens, gossip about your companions, friendly jokes, that sort of thing.

I personally like the moment when Goldanna asks Alistair if the Dalish Warden is his servant and he says "Don't talk to him like that, he is my friend!".

And well, the fact that he's been fighting at your side from Day 1 is a strong factor.

That's funny because I've never got the appeal of Garrus. It's almost as if people had different tastes or something.  ;)

(It's not the "Brad Pitt" face.)

I'm not a big Garrus fan either. I'm just not into the bro thing at all. Maybe it's my sad upbringing. Bros are overrated :P

Actually, I like Grunt. He's like a pesky little bro.

I think Garrus is a fine character but, yeah, I feel the same. He's okay, he's my Shepard's friend, but I can't say I'm a big fan. I feel like the game wanted me to have some deep connection with him but I couldn't manage to meet its expectations. I think I know why, though: If the ME franchise was DAII, he'd be the person I'd rival all the way. We've just got too different mindsets.

You know, I'm not into children. As in, at all. But Grunt? Grunt is my child and can do no wrong.

The moment with Goldanna was particularly memorable for me, too. Because he lets her walk all over him and never stands up for himself, but the second she dares to talk crap about the Warden, he immediately gets angry and speaks up.

All the reasons mentioned above is why I like him. Plus, he's the knight in shining armour kind of character that just wants to do something good and I fall for that sort of thing every damn time. I mean, a guy that's nice and makes me laugh? Call me boring and predictable, but yeah, I like that.

He's not perfect but, eh, no BW character is and that's a good thing.

Meh - I like Alistair due to his personality more so than looks - that dorky thing he has going on is nice...

I remember the first time I met the character I wasn't sure about him, but oh how that charming personality won me over in no time! He's just so innocent and sweet, I adore him. The conversation with the warden about having been raised by dogs and his dancing around her questions about his lack of romantic relationships was just too cute.

For some reason his antics annoy me.+ i don't appreciate people with overly inflexible mindsets, unable to make a compromise with themselves.

The epic childish whining he made when i decided to spare Loghain sealed the deal.

I found myself liking Loghain more than him, too bad you get him as a companion near the end game and there isn't much interaction.

I can't help but think that Alistair's original concept, when he was a grizzled old veteran, before Bioware changed him to what he is now, must have been better.

I don't hate him though and my Warden considers him a friend, despite the above.

Well if someone doesn't do these things it's hard to form an opinion in the first place. Half the game is dialogues and character interaction, it's kinda impossible not to do these things.

At the time of the discussion of said lamp post, it wasn't necessarily his :P. And goading him is irresistible.
