Yeah, it looks like she posted it day before yesterday.  And she was working on a new character.  You are right.  It was so sudden, it could happen to any of us.

What her husband wrote, -the way he wrote it, as well as how shocking it was, aside from the crazy notion that something like this could really never occur, completely made me think of how fragile our lives really are. I had to go lie down after that. Our lives are taken too much for granted unfortunately, and yes, something about this group, our mutual love for a character, and all this sharing, somehow really affects how I feel about people here. I am not a very active poster, but I read a lot and share every once in a while, and I take what happens here to heart.

Same here. Wonderfully said, Dahlia. What happened indeed shocked me. So sudden... I enjoy this forum and this thread in particular very much and I really would miss something when everyone is parting ways to other games and such :(

Maybe not precisely appropriate but all what happened today reminded me of a scene in LotR that strangely gave me some comfort, as one of the most important people in my life died a few years ago.

I don't know if what I am doing is appropriate or makes sense at the moment and please forgive me if it isn't.
I am just not finding any words to express what I am feeling right now.

So, in memory of Khalara:

She'll be greatly missed.

I also have been hesitant to post anything, because I wasn't sure it was appropriate. It's a reminder of how fragile life is, how we should cherish those we love, and how rare and special we all are, she had a significant impact even on those who didn't know her that well. In her honor I'm going to post a picture, as well as say, even though I didn't know you well Khalara, you will be missed, and I pray for your family. Rest in peace.

That would remind me of a beautiful imprint, created from love, and set in stone forever.

I wish I had known her too.

Its always a blow to a group to lose a member.

My regards to her family, friends, and loved ones.

I don't think anyone's good intentions will be taken amiss. I think the fact that her husband thought to let the community know of her loss so soon after this tragedy shows that she enjoyed the time she spent here. As much as any of us can say they knew Khalara it was from these boards and I think it is appropriate that we remember her here.

I'm not sure what to say. I didn't know her, but I'm shocked and saddened and I hope that her family and friends find comfort.

Merilsell, wonderful tribute indeed. "White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise."

Just wanna say that even though Alistair is not even mentioned in Witch Hunt as far as I can see, Esra kept a firm grip on her Lamppost in Winter!

Meh....didn't know her at all. Still the loss of one our community saddens me.

Death is not the end
Death can never be the end.

Death is the road.
Life is the traveller.
The Soul is the Guide

...

Our mind thinks of death.
Our heart thinks of life
Our soul thinks of Immortality.

I think I will give her mage a cameo in my FF....or maybe a full blown role ( though I think the latter would be somewhat inappropriate )

Costin, a cameo for her mage seems like a good idea.

Oh Wow, reading the last couple pages, very sorry to hear about the loss of Khalara, my thoughts are with her family and friends. I don't know what to say past that, as I'm just not very good at these things.

I was actually popping in quick to share some info. I've been playing the Witch Hunt DLC and shrieking about the end dialog bug. After all, I only played it to see what happened to my LI's kiddo and such, so the bug at the end enraged me a bit. BUT there's a fix. I haven't played awakening yet on any of my girls. So I don't know how this works if you have. I will now however, ONLY import this way.

At the end of Origins the game creates your post campaign auto save. Named "Post-CampaignSave (1)-Epilogue". Where you are placed "on the road". Import THAT save. Do NOT enter camp from here (or if you do, save as another name). Entering camp from that particular save apparently fubars some plot flags, as it places you in the pre-denerim battle timeline. Therefor the game sees it as you not doing the DR when you import to WH. I played twice through saves I had made in camp and got the wrong dialog at the end. I then took the advice found in one of the threads, and imported from Post Campaign Save-Epilogue, played through and got the right one, and was happy with it.
