That's no blasphemy, tmp's work is simply incredible. I also like this mod much more than More Hairstyles. Some of the styles in MH are a bit over the top for me, while everything in Tucked Hair is just perfect.

Okay, I am not sure of his name, but I just spoke to the bar attendant in Lothering. While eating, I decided to listen to everything he had to say.



One of the rumors he told shocked me.

Cailen isn't Marics real son, they say they are hiding his true heir in the castle somewhere, feeding him cakes ....or something to that effect.

I am on my way to bed, but was wondering if anyone else heard about this ?

It's just a stupid rumor.  Given how much Cailan looks like Alistair, and how much they apparently both look like Maric, it's highly improbable that Cailan and Alistair are anything but Maric's boys.

Danal, I think it is.  Yes, I've heard that one before.  I think it's to show how idiotic the rumors can be!  Although it might have a kernel of truth in that someone knew about Alistair and it got garbled by the time it got out to the yokels.

Yes, that sounds like what I had thought. Another one of the more stupid rumors stemming from knowledge of...Alistair then twisted, etc.
Edit: but, saying that Cailan wasn't Maric's *true* son, is a pretty strong statement. I would tend to believe a twisted rumor perhaps of Maric having another child but not Maric's true son?

Grumbles. Lyra is in the deep roads. And I'm TRYING to get through it and the Dalish (next) before he hands her the rose. So I need him to not like her that way until we get through the Dalish treaty. Ya'll are killing me with the tempation here! At the least now, her eyes have been opened a bit, now she's a deadpan smartass but with less "sod off" going on...lol

Ok, as I am replaying my Canon playthrough, I am doing Alistair's quest and helping him with his sis (yea I am nice like that). And it just occured to me. How can Alistair be Fiona's son if Goldanna recalls her mother dying in childbirth and giving birth to the king's son (and being paid to shut up about it)? I know that Alistair being Fiona's son is not established, but it's a theory that I've always believed likely. So what do supporters of the theory say of this? Is there a way to explain this seeming contradiction?

And as I am writing this, the weirdest thing occured to me. What if Hawke is Maric and Fiona's son? They did say afterall that we will find out what happened to Maric in DA2 (or he is a likely slave to Flemeth now).

Perhaps there was yet another affair with yet another bastard produced, and that son died, which is what Goldanna remembers. Who knows! I am personally not a firm believer that Alistair is Fiona's but you never know.

That one's easy. Lies. A serving woman dies in childbirth, with a child she claims is the king's(lie number one). We know this is true, because of Goldanna. The baby dies with her. Also true. At the same time, this baby Alistair is brought in, they tell Goldanna the baby is dead (true), give her the coin to shut her mouth and she ends up in Denerim. They can now say Alistair is the child of said serving woman when he is old enough to be told. Lies.

I'm pretty sure that theory was shot down, in terms of Hawke being related to Maric and Fiona.



Hawke's mother is in the game, for once and she is an [spoilerrr]

Hawke's dad is a mage. We haven't seen anything about him, but Gaider said Papa Hawke was the one who taught Bethany and mage!Hawke to use magic (they're all apostates).



And considering that BioWare is implementing a system where your family's features (skin color so far, I think) changes to match the Hawke you create, it's kind of very unlikely that they're not your biological family xD

That's a lot of assumptions though.
And a rather big coincidence to have baby Alistair arrive just when a serving maid who claims to be impregnated by the king dies with her offspring.

Not saying it's impossible. But it would be a meeh explanation for me, Idk.
