Ugh, just finished the Deep Roads. Preserved the Anvil for the first time and Alistair disapproved -10. Oops. I want a strangle Branka option.

You can always get  her to commit suicide afterwards?

I.....can? Do tell me how to go forth with this genious plan

You can side with Branka (+4 points with Oghren) then after you slay Caridan, then persuade Branka that using the Anvil is wrong and have her destroy it and Branka will commit suicide (just like Caridan would have), which nets you another +7 points with Oghren.

Yep!  I found the whole thing twisted... You will still have to kill Shale, if you've brought her along.

The Oghren in Awak seems to have been writen by a group of highschool boys.  Having him burp in your face when you click on him may have been funny once or twice, but those jokes got real tired, real fast in the game.  Also couldn't say one thing to him without loosing approval.  I just got sick of trying with him after a while.  Its sad when you are BFFs with the guy whos father you killed, and the guy you fought the arch demon with will only burp in your face.

I need some help. Just about to visit Goldanna. I've pretty much hardened Alistair in every playthrough, but I've never actually made him king. So this time I'm wondering if I should harden him or not? What's the actual difference in dialogue, other than him being more accepting of becoming king?

Well none really. He's more accepting of some of your iffy decisions and loses less approval. You also get a much better response to "where do you see this relationship going". I always harden him now that Cme added nicer lines to do it. Even if he's not going to be king, I HATE his unhardened response to the relationship question.  If you are making him king, only hardened will he be convinced to keep your relationship.

Mira Cousland learns of Alistair's bloodline and is determined to set in motion the events that will place the rightful king on the throne and if she's made queen along the way she's not going to complain about that either.

Enjoy!

Thanks for letting us know!  I'll have to put that on my reading list.  :)

Did you also let them know in the fanfic section?

Is there any disadvantage to hardening him if he is not going to be king? My elf mage always runs off with him and gives the throne to Anora. I am replaying this character and I really have become convinced that he really reaches his full potential and enjoys whatever life he finds more if he is hardened, but I've never done it in game if he's not going to be king. I hate being mean to him outside Goldanna's and the responses are really ooc for my mage (well, with all my pcs but sometimes it's necessary). But with Cme's fixes...

I'm trying that too with my Dalish mage.  I'll probably always harden him now that cmessaz fixed that dialog!

None that I know of. I prefer it just because of the relationship question. His unhardened respone is just...Ugh I wanted to slap the boy. Lyra isn't making him king, she's taking Gwaren and riding into the sunset with him.

Alistair swooped Idun shortly before Tamlen's reappearance.  It's all in here.

I'm not reading that part again it made me cry the first time:P...lol

That's what made me think about the use of Cme's scenes afterwards too. I thought maybe they do burn him due to the taint, but she could take some of the ashes and plant the tree. And it makes sense to have Alistair there, because he admired the tradition. There has been swooping...

Aww, sweet!  And afterwards, was there skinny dipping in Lake Calenhad?  LOL

He had some cute dialogues at Eamon's, but half of it was cute and the other half made me want to burn the place down (because of his sappiness about Eamon).  He's a little grumpy about giving the rulership to Anora but generally still ok with it.  IMO there is no advantage, ever, in not hardening him.  For one thing, I just think through the Blight it's what would naturally happen anyway so the game mechanic is just... odd.

I get in trouble for calling Twilight "Cheesy Fanfiction, Vampire Soft core Smut." from some of my friends.

That and I ruin it for them if they watch it. I should learn to watch it though girls are good at throwing things very hard.
