Someone please smack my universal dye kit/Phoenix armory? I want blue!! And it's not working. Alistair was no help he just keeps warming his hands at the fire.

I am having issues with this as well. It seems to work ok with the Phoenix armor but everything else I had dyed before installing Phoenix changed and are not as nice.

Thats because the tint pack for phoenix will override any other tint packs you had installed I think.

I thought that was it. Image IPB

I thought I heard he got food poisoning at his wedding?  Or during the honeymoon?

Oh no!  I hadn't heard that.  *checks Twitter*  "Wassup people. Recovering from d wedding & also a bit of food poisoning that almost knocked me out of the wedding. Something I ate last week "  Followed by "Anyway all was beautiful and will be publishing pics soon. But no honeymoon for the wicked my friends, back to work yesterday! "  So it looks like disaster was averted and all is ok.

He is so cute.  I really Image IPB SV.  Three cheers for the Voice of Alistair.

I'm pretty old and grumpy myself.  But Loghain?  No way.  I don't enjoy sharing a man with an obsession.  Been there. Done that.   <_<

And I agree that Alistair is not insecure, he's just inexperienced, but also selective.  He seems to have NO trouble at all in the enthusiasm department once he decides he's ready to commit.

LOL  It sounds like there's a story there.  RL is a different story of course, I always went for way older men, ended up marrying one slightly older, but my PC is young so that makes a difference.  I do love the older versions of Alistair in stories like Maria13's.  And, of course, the older version of Alistair in The Stolen Throne and The Calling.  Image IPB

I'll have to check that out.  There's so many fanfics that I need to read, and so little time to do it.

Has anyone read "The Night is Full of Stars"?  I found it over on fanfiction.  It's 120 chapters, and it spans from the coronation to 30 years later.  Alistair and the HNF don't get together right away, and they go through a lot of drastic changes over the years.  Considering the length of time to story covers, I guess it's obvious how it ends, but there's a surprise there.  Anyway, it made me cry a lot. The author added some new characters that I liked.  Alistair matures a whole lot.  Fergus and Teagan fans might not enjoy it so much.

There's so many talented writers here!  I feel kinda awed to be here among all of you.

The way I get good screen shots is:
Download Fraps, which is just a plain awsome program. Easy to use, and FREE!
Pause the game alot and pause/unpause every few seconds to try and tweak your angles and shots.

Also save before some areas so you can redo them at your leisure and can try to recapture so awsome pics, or redo some things/catch some different NPC's in action.

You can catch pics like these with only a little practice and some luck:

Fraps is pretty awesome.  I like using it for cutscenes and then finding the perfect frames.

Pause the game for screenshots?????  Unless it's a cutscene or they are standing still my pics suck, even with fraps. It never occured to me to pause to adjust the angle. Great advice FTW!Image IPB

Same lines I always use, Zev's not here, i'd have be dead first. And then he says yes I would and joined Tal. oh well, can't win em all. I should have been over the 26 required, I gave him his gold bar, his boots and his gloves, and a silver bar. Haven't had that happen for ages actually, but it fits this time.

haha don't feel bad, I asked the same thing when I found this thread, and had the same reaction! I never thought to pause to do it.  Also, if they're coming out too dark, I find about +58 gamma in the options/video seems to be a good setting.

Thats so wrong.  I finished up an old old game I started on the X-Box  with a MHN, Zev had a crush on him.  I came to that part, and he sat out the fight, but still - that was just wrong too.  I should have been able to shank him for that.

Did Alistair say that (or anything) after the fight?

Agreed! Are you going to try for a royal wedding?

If there's a mod for that, Morwen, I'm there!!!

If that isn't a look of utter devotion...

DahliaLynn is working on a royal wedding mod.  Also, I think in cmessaz's long list of projects, she and Grumpy have an Alistair-male romance mod planned.

Check out are project MageTarot. We are still looking for suggestions.

I'm old and cranky (38, but still), and Alistair is just fine for me.  I don't consider him insecure, just inexperienced.  For all that he is very ballsy when it counts.

I'm slowly getting old and cranky (close to my thirties) so Alistair is a bit too young for me too, but I like his character (duh) and he is fine in my books too. As said, he's not really insecure, just inexperienced due to the 'sheltered' life in the chantry. And being inexperienced is a matter that can change fast

As for the ending, the rebuilding the Warden-together is my favorite one and without a doubt the happiest for Alistair too...if he has his lady love on his side. It's the closest to a normal life he can have (and probably also wants after all the mumbo jumbo) , Plus there is occational darkspawn slaying involved, What's better than that?  :wizard:

One other handy tip, is:
Under the Screenshots tab, click on View, and in that folder create tons of folders and sub folders to organize everything. I do it by PC to help me organize them. Trust me an itchy fraps finger can really pile up pics.
Also they are in JPEG format so you have to upload them unto say IMAGESHACK to put them on here.

Somehow I expected Klarabella to spring out from somewhere and give another ranting fit about it, lol. I have read it up to chapter 43, I think, and didn't like it too much. It was too much like a daily soap with the Queen later on dying after giving birth to Alistair's child and being poisened by Fergus. How convenient that she made way for Cousland again  It hit completely one of my Dragon -age-FF pet peeves, so I'd pass on this one. Anywaaay but I do agree with all the awesome FF out there. I swear since I write my own behemoth of a story, I don't find the time to read much other FF, though I have a whole stockpile of "must reads" for after "Of elves and humans" ;)

Lol, I quite often forget to turn fraps off after trying for pics. Which results in getting hundreds of screen shots of everything I did for the last 15 minutes except of course what I thought I was taking pics of. Image IPB

EDIT: For an Alistair.

Aw.  Well, I figured since I never heard anyone else here mentioning it, that it fell into the category of  my guilty indulgences.  I guess I'm a sap for sappy FF.  The Calling stuff got to me.

Why doesn't my free version save in anything but .bmp?  It says I have to buy it to save in .jpg, .png, or .tga...or am I missing something somewhere?

Ah, yes, I recall that.  I refused to touch it after I found that out.  That whole Fergus things was just way to OOC for me.  I friggin' <3 Fergus and for that to happen....  No.

I really wish there were a way for Alistair and Fergus to meet in game.  Ah well, I suppose my commission will have to suffice.

Just convert the pics you wanna upload to .jpeg.  For some odd reason, I have to resave my jpegs as...jpegs in paint if I want to upload them to photobucket.
