One other handy tip, is:
Under the Screenshots tab, click on View, and in that folder create tons of folders and sub folders to organize everything. I do it by PC to help me organize them. Trust me an itchy fraps finger can really pile up pics.
Also they are in JPEG format so you have to upload them unto say IMAGESHACK to put them on here.

Why doesn't my free version save in anything but .bmp?  It says I have to buy it to save in .jpg, .png, or .tga...or am I missing something somewhere?

Just convert the pics you wanna upload to .jpeg.  For some odd reason, I have to resave my jpegs as...jpegs in paint if I want to upload them to photobucket.

I do, although I use .png format, instead.  Would be nice if they would save in .png since the size would be alot less.
Top of page, I'll post ArmaniStair again *laughs*:whistle:

Has anyone read "The Night is Full of Stars"?  I found it over on fanfiction.  It's 120 chapters, and it spans from the coronation to 30 years later.  Alistair and the HNF don't get together right away, and they go through a lot of drastic changes over the years.  Considering the length of time to story covers, I guess it's obvious how it ends, but there's a surprise there.  Anyway, it made me cry a lot. The author added some new characters that I liked.  Alistair matures a whole lot.  Fergus and Teagan fans might not enjoy it so much.

There's so many talented writers here!  I feel kinda awed to be here among all of you.

Somehow I expected Klarabella to spring out from somewhere and give another ranting fit about it, lol. I have read it up to chapter 43, I think, and didn't like it too much. It was too much like a daily soap with the Queen later on dying after giving birth to Alistair's child and being poisened by Fergus. How convenient that she made way for Cousland again  It hit completely one of my Dragon -age-FF pet peeves, so I'd pass on this one. Anywaaay but I do agree with all the awesome FF out there. I swear since I write my own behemoth of a story, I don't find the time to read much other FF, though I have a whole stockpile of "must reads" for after "Of elves and humans" ;)

Ending on that DID NOT MAKE SENSE!! And it was abrupt. :?

Ah, yes, I recall that.  I refused to touch it after I found that out.  That whole Fergus things was just way to OOC for me.  I friggin' <3 Fergus and for that to happen....  No.

I really wish there were a way for Alistair and Fergus to meet in game.  Ah well, I suppose my commission will have to suffice.

Yeah, I'm such a huge Cousland fan that the Fergus thing almost made me stop reading.  But it seemed to fit within that AU world.  If his plan had worked, I think I would have given up, but all it did was drive them further apart.

Anyway, one of my problems with FF these days is keeping up with the continuing stories.  If there's too much time between chapters, I forget where I was.  Like I said ... brain = sieve.   When I find stories I really like a lot,  I tend to wait until they're either finished or there's large chunks of chapters to read.

I was really into one called A Midwinter's Thaw for awhile, but I got lost and just couldn't stick with the characters.  I don't know if it was the story or me.  I might give it another try once it's finished.  I guess I should probably watch what I say, because I've no idea if these authors are here.  If they are, sorry.  I liked the story a lot for awhile.  I think it was all the detours off into the non-DA:O characters that made me lose focus.

LadyD, it was a long time before I realized that you were the author of one of my favorite ffs.

A screenie of my dark elf mage, Nathyrra at Ostagar just as the Darkspawn attack. For the first time using Fraps I'm quite pleased the way this turned out.

The ending of the ff that I was talking about?  Oh, I thought it did make sense.  It might've been really corny, but it was what should have happened to Alistair 30 years earlier.

Anyway, I only brought up the ff because for me it was kinda memorable and I hadn't heard anyone mention it here.

You don't have to duck and hide.

She is a VERY talented writer but there were times I finished reading the chapter feeling depressed.

As for the ending.... it was like BAM! :o

If she had done more with the whole Flemeth plot throughout
the story --->it would have made far more sense.    The writer  waited til the last
chapter, entered a new plot element into the story, them bam!  Ended!   Alistair and Jessimyn should have just made the final walk to the Deep Roads.

I am actually reading ch 68 of A Midwinter's Thaw right now. They have 70 complete. There was something like 45 chapters done when I found it and didn't know it was in progress, by then I was too far in to stop. I do like it though and think it may be getting to the end. But now anything with a high chapter count kinda scares me off I can't seem to remember which fic's I 've read and where I've left off. Except for Sundered Order. I don't care how long it is I will read every word!Image IPB

Thanks for both :) I figured I'd put my DA account to use :D

The story is done and up at FF.net (aka the pit) It's called The Rightful King. I have an idea knocking about how Mira deals with learning the truth about killing the archdemon and Morri's DR but I have to get to that stange of the game again.

Must get back to the next chapter of The Kight-Captain's Lady...

Wow, 68 chapters!  I gave up way earler when they started detouring a lot into stories about Perrin and his friend.

Sundered Order and Undertow are two of the ffs that I'm trying to hold off on, so I can read them in bigger chunks,  because I like them so much.

Oops my bad about Fraps.

The free version only records in BMP, but I pulled a Jack Sparrow and my default is JPEG.

Sorry for the confusion.

Yeah, too much OOC breaks me.  I used to read Thaw, but hated the main character, so I sorta stopped reading.  If the authors are here, ah well.  *shrugs*

Image IPB  I'm glad you like it.  I assume you mean SO.  It's been awhile since my last update, but real life kicked my butt.  There will be an update this week.  Hmmm.  I need a mean, snarly Alistair in the Kal'Hirol armor to provide me with visual inspiration.  Might have to load the Awakenings mod and grab some video after I sacrifice Isolde.

*super blush*  I really appreciate that.  The early chapters make me cringe now, but ah well.  I will fix them eventually, if only just for myself.
