Okay actively follow is said too much I guess, since by Undertow I'm at chapter 20 and Sundered order...umm 11? Lol as said I lack the time currently to actually READ fanfiction.

I rather seize it to write on my own one. Since it is a Mahariel ficlet it's far from being popular, however. And then an unpopular pairing on top of that (Alistair/Mahariel) ...but hey it's fun.

Yeah, too much OOC breaks me.  I used to read Thaw, but hated the main character, so I sorta stopped reading.  If the authors are here, ah well.  *shrugs*

I don't dislike the Alistair/Marhariel pairing, but for some reason that's the origin I pair with Zevran. Yet my city elf goes Alistair. Don't ask as I don't know.

So that Alistair/Mahariel actually became non-standard, like Zevran/Cousland -- they are a rather unusual pairing. So every new Alistair/F!Mahariel- story on FF-net makes me a happy bunny  (Alas there are so few)

Thats so wrong.  I finished up an old old game I started on the X-Box  with a MHN, Zev had a crush on him.  I came to that part, and he sat out the fight, but still - that was just wrong too.  I should have been able to shank him for that.

Did Alistair say that (or anything) after the fight?

  Did you talk to him at camp afterwards?  He tells you why he left.  He was torn between a former lover and a current one- he only leaves if the romance is on but it's under 70ish approval.  Even if he turns on you, it's only to follow through on his previous wish for death by Warden.  He knows he can't win.

Has anyone read "The Night is Full of Stars"?  I found it over on fanfiction.  It's 120 chapters, and it spans from the coronation to 30 years later.  Alistair and the HNF don't get together right away, and they go through a lot of drastic changes over the years.  Considering the length of time to story covers, I guess it's obvious how it ends, but there's a surprise there.  Anyway, it made me cry a lot. The author added some new characters that I liked.  Alistair matures a whole lot.  Fergus and Teagan fans might not enjoy it so much.

There's so many talented writers here!  I feel kinda awed to be here among all of you.  

Wow, I don't have enough attention span for a saga like that I think, especially a Cousland story which is a little ho-hum for me (sorry to fans).  But you're right that there's more out there I'd like to read than time to do it in, especially since I can't read ffnet during down time at work.

Oh I had the convo with Alonis who accidentally turned the romance on, but stopped caring for Zev after that. So at the encounter Zev was under 70 approval and my char told Taliesen that he has to be dead first...and Zevran left before the fight with saying sorry to Taliesen. I actually gaped at the screen for a second or two to proceed what had happened. Heh.

You know a game is great, when it can still surprise you after all the time. <3

Same here what concern the Cousland stories, Addai. (Sorry to fans too) Though I find it even harder reading one without Alistair. Call me a crazy fangirl but I do have to have my fair share of Alistair in a story or I most likely will ditch it as 'meh'

Yes, I found that bit quite moving actually.  I had to engineer it since Zev always has high approval if the romance is on, and he'll never leave a friend (oh Zev I love you so much ).  Before he leaves he turns and shouts to the Crows that they have a choice too, they don't have to do this.  Gives me shivers.  When you think about what it took for him to realize that about himself....

Me like your stories and Sandti's very much. And wow when I think how much time and thoughts I already invested in my own ...and how much there is still to write, I could slightly panic, lol. 

I love Zev too, he's awesome. <3 Such a deep character, he is. And again eats Gaider a piece of my soul for creating characters I love so much. *shakes fist* Oh dead duster walking is a great Zev/Brosca- FF btw. I read a bit and really liked it. Which says much for me since i rarely read Zevran-FF's and even more rarely dwarf- FF's

I'm the same way, which I feel kind of guilty about, because I know I'm missing out on some great work.

Conversely, I'll read just about anything that features Alistair as a main character, even if it isn't very well-written. I've found that the amount of bad I'm willing to tolerate in a fic is directly proportional to the amount of Alistair it contains.
