Not to put him down in any way but an unhardened Alistair IS willing to have people he sees in authority tell him what to do alot. ie Eamon/Warden.Zjarcal wrote...

I really dont see alot of Mal in an unhardened Alistair.
An hardened one definently has the spine and the belief in a higher cause like Mal.
Then again I have the series and film each so I have seen those movies way to much.
Warning to Giggles: Insinuations that unhardened Alistair is spineless annoy the hell out of errant_knight.
You have been warned.
Strangely enough UH he has is very firm in the Landsmeet, while Hardened Alistair seems more willing to go along with stuff. Or is that because he is taking what he wants though?
I don't disagree with you, I was just giving you a friendly warning.
Heh, I just find it annoying because I think it's so untrue, I don't threaten bodily harm or anything.
Unhardened Alistair stands up for what he believes in--justice for Loghain, blood magic is bad--which is what having a spine is all about, he just doesn't believe in himself, so he lets other people have their way, rather than push opinions that he has no confidence in. He's not spineless, he just doesn't think he's worth defending, even by himself. Once he does believe that he's capable, he stands up for himself, in addition to the other things that he believes in.
