I haven't installed any mods, so I can tell you: No, he doesn't kiss you at the gates. In fact if you leave him at the gates his dialogue is singularly unsatisfying, particularly for a PC who he dumped after the Landsmeet. You can say "You and I both know how this ends," and his answer is something like "I guess so; I'll make sure they don't forget you," which to me reads like a big *SHRUG*. Okay! Just so you know I'm going to my death here! Maybe you have something to say to me, about choices? And regrets? No? All righty then! Bye!

I think the reason for this is because you're really supposed to have Alistair with you at the final battle (Riordan tells you to bring him, after all) and he'll take the final blow for you then. And at that point he has great dialogue. ALSO, if you choose the "wait, this is crazy" dialogue option at the end, you get your final kiss. (If you seem more adamant about not allowing him to make the sacrifice, you don't get the kiss, presumably because he feels a more urgent need to beat you to the punch.)

If you leave him at the gates, in his mind, you're depriving him of the greatest honor he can imagine, and has been trying to accomplish for the last year or so. And you're going yourself.  Really, you're lucky you don't get an earful.

Yep. He was quite mad at me for leaving him at the gates on my last game. So mad he didn't even show up for the post-coronation ceremony!

Yes, that's what I was talking about.  I had thought the second one was BSC.

I couldn't find my old screenshots, so I grabbed a friend's.  Don't blame me for the cloned Alistair!  She has a thing for Hugh Jackman, so she was trying to make Alistair look a little like him.

No. If Loggy was spared then I wouldn't have been able to leave Alistair at the gates... he would be drinking his sorrows away elsewhere.

The lips tend to part if you increase the individual "lip fat" values.  So that might be your problem.  Also, you can smooth out the cheeks by playing around with the unique shapes.  Morrigan has very smooth features for instance.

I don't know.... I don't find it that creepy. He's just completely amazed that something seems to be working out for once and feeling pretty strongly about it.

*edit - omg, I just went back and glanced at it again.  She looks scarier late at night than she did the first time I saw her.

I always play a male character, one who romances Morrigan. I have not played Witch Hunt, for obvious reasons, but I do think it is a damn catastrophe that Alistair is not along for the mission.



If there is one companion character that is *crucial* to the story it would be a tie between Alistair and Morrigan. I always felt that Alistair was a "co-star" rather than anything else, I couldn't countenance the game without him. Why on earth he is not in Witch Hunt is anyone's guess.



Also... I have no idea how female players must feel who romanced him and have to do Witch Hunt without him. It seems a crime...



BTW... is Al even mentioned in a WH epilogue... or at all in the game? Be gentel with spoilers...

I've tried playing with the "lip fat" sliders and still nada. It's driving me mad. I suppose I could try the unique shapes, at least a tiny bit. This is mostly Eleanor, who when you start looking at her morph, has a really odd face. That might also help me solve the problems with the oddness to her profile. Thanks.

Well honestly, after that Morrigan monstrosity posted above, anything you come up with will be model material. *shudder*

Coincidentally I just finished working on my black Bryce morph, which was actually based off of Alistair's facial shape:
