My life changed...  I'd loved games before because they were great, but this was the first time I realised a game could be AWESOME for women.

It really is, if you think about it (imo) the women have much better romance option than males. Morrigan runs off with or without your ogb, possibly never to be seen again and Leliana is a just scary.Posted Image The only good one they have is Zev, which isn't for everyone. We ladies on the other hand get both Alistair and Zev. (Leliana too, but two out of three ain't bad)

EDIT: ToP

D'aaaww...GW-ending. Meri approves <3

Yes, you're spoilered now if you're reading along, but Idun gets a happy ending.  "For a time," to use Bioware's weasel phrase.  LOL

And indeed it is Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image despite having 3 times more Anora in the endgame and Awakening than anyone should have to see.  Though seeing Anora together with Rylock last evening, I was inspired to think Anora might have found true love.

I can't help it. GW-ending is simply my favorite. Nevertheless I have only done it two times where it did fit to my characters. Still I like this "He stayed with her and left her side only once to go to Highever..." epilogue slide very much.  Best of all for me.

Honestly, it's okay. Idun deserves this happy ending after all the **** she's been through.;) Lenya however has still a veeeery long way to go, if she ever gets there, that is. Long fanfiction is long. :bandit:

Hehe. Ok, confess, how many of you just about died the first time Alistair hit you with the "Oh yeah, you're gonna be dead in 30 years" thing? Personally, the first time I heard it, I was clearing the circle of abominations and clicked on Alistair for a bit of distraction.

Yeah, that distracted me all right.

Yah, that really added to my list of gripes against Duncan...it was pretty shocking.

My first 4 playthroughs were on the xbox and I haven't yet finished any on the PC. On the xbox ,Alistair always thinks he is king even if you crown Anora. As frustrating as it was for Alistair to continually refer to himself as king, I am not really looking forward to the extra Anora bits my mage will have to deal with for her GW ending.

I have to admit, by the time I got past Anora and then had Varel saying that Idun was the only living Warden in Ferelden, I wanted to break something.

I hadn't planned to take Idun over at all, but I wanted to see how the Dalish mage mod would carry over.

I've only done Awakenings on the xbox, but I only do my HNF queens for the royal visit. Posted Image

Question. I have never spared Loghain and the character where my husband did has not played through Awakenings, yet. Is it true that Loghain's cameo is to stop by and tell you where he is being shipped by the GWs? Loghain is more considerate than non-king Alistair about not having you worry about his whereabouts?Posted Image

That for me was a huge WTFPosted Image moment.  I was ripped from my home and shoved into the Grey Wardens and now I am going to die in 30 years!!!  First response is always the worst.  Then the second response is the connection from then on with Alistair.  You both have this in common and no one else will ever understand what it is doing to you.  I think that pushed me closer to Alistair.  Not like I needed another reason!!!!Posted Image

House is hardly an obscure TV show!  And SV was really good in it too! And it's my duty to let all the Hearties know about his amazing voice on TV, isn't it?  I mean, SV!  Voice!  Sounds like Alistair!  Though personally he isn't anywhere near as good-looking....but that's just me.

He's awesome in everything.  And while I wouldn't call him my type, my attraction meter is wired to personality/ intellect/ voice more than looks anyway so Alistair love has translated easily over to SV crush.

So carry on doing your duty.  Posted Image

Kara didn't take it too badly - her other option was to die in a few days or weeks at most from the taint anyways.  So 30 years is okay, even though it's probably a fraction of what she might have lived as a Dalish with her clan.  That's actually hopefully going to make it into my next chapter...hopefully...

But yeah, later on she and Alistair find it a thing to bond over, since it's a terrible secret that they both share.

What? :innocent:

(It broke immersion when he said that because I wasn't trying to make her purty, but Morrigan did make me think that I was supposed to have ridicilous eyeshadow for the character to fit in that universe. I didn't realize at the time that Morrigan was supposed to be a weird bird.)

I wasn't too bad with it, I figured that was around the age people die in those times anyway.  But I'm going to still work with Avernus to extend Ali & my life, as well as work with him on the fertility issue.

I prefer Alistair as king, but it really would have ended these two.  My Dalish rogue could be Chani for him, but there is no way that an apostate blood mage could or should get near the Fereldan throne.  She got too near as it was.

So, she and the Wardens get to keep him this time.

I have three more to go and then I'm calling it done.  It's been a lot of fun but time to do something else.  Apart from a couple of you lovely kooks, no one's reading it anyway.  Obscure fanfiction is obscure.  Posted Image

BTW the next one will be really Dalish.  But... you might hate it.  Not sure.  I think my take on the Dalish is different than others'.

Good luck with getting Alistair to work with Avernus on that one.  ;)

My initial reaction was to be completely flabberghasted.  "You didn't think you might have wanted to mention this to me earlier?!"  That fairly quickly became "Well, since we're probably gonna die, I guess it doesn't matter anyway."  It did force my character to look at what she considered right and proper and say "screw it."  She rather actively encouraged Alistair to tentnap her after that.

Well, I can't say my HNF was too surprised. She kind of figured there would be some ramifications for drinking Darkspawn blood...call it a hunch ;P

I like stories outside the box and a Dalish blood mage surely is one of them. So thx for writing those. *is curious about the new Dalish now*

Oh, I haven't so many reader as well. It's a small but faithful group sticking to that monster my FF has become. It has approx 1500 clicks per month, but for that I have to update regularly. Which is not as easy as it sounds since my beta has a stressful life atm. Alas, overall feedback for it is rare, so rare. *sadpanda*

Same for me, it didn't faze me at all.  Though it seems that DA theme has people living longer.

1500?!  Uh... let's just say that sounds like a lot to me.  LOL

I'm glad I did it, and even writing two little one-shots for Esra has raised my regard for her character enormously.  Which sounds odd, but there you go.  It basically made her my canon.  I had always written stuff in my head for my characters, but getting it on a screen makes it more concrete.

Little GW bonding at the Denerim gates.  Charsen got the bedroom eyes down beautifully.

For me.. it was like.. Well, I'm as good as dead anyway right now.  Or at least my character would be had she stayed instead of going with Duncan.

Got my Alidragon done, if anyone wants a looksee.

Yeah, my other non-HN chars have a slightly different view of it, especially my Dalish.

My reaction was more along the lines of: 'Oh noes! I'm going to die! Wait, thirty years? Seriously, I'll be in my fifties then. Kind of hard to freak out about something that far off...Oh, I probably can't get pregnant, either? Sweet.'

Well it is nice to..

Okay here you go.. Alistair as a dragon. (still working on his half dragon pic)
I decided not to draw the individual scales on this one, simply because I would be working on them well into next year...:)

You know, honestly I think it bothers me more now than it did then. When I heard it on my first playthrough, I knew practically nothing about how the game would end or how much it would suck me in. Now after playing and/or hearing about all the different ending possibilities and reading some fan fics, it's a little bittersweet. They have been through so much and found happiness but so little time before it moves towards the inevitable end. Plus the fan fics where they reunite after sparing Loghain...so much wasted time.Posted Image

Khalara: Very nice. Looks very much like the D&D style dragon to me. Oh, and the lil crest on the head that looks like his hair? Win!

Yankee: I find it sadder when Alistair or the Warden falls in love with another non-Warden. At least with the Warden and Alistair, they won't die alone when their Calling comes.

Yay!  Glad you caught that little detail..:o  That and the expression are what ties the dragon with the man... and the muscles and eyes (if you could see them anyways...:?)

Thanks for the compliments..
