I meant the 'gush' part of the thread description, not the 'it has Alistair in it' part. And at the Landsmeet, Alistair is perfectly capable of staring Loghain down. At best it would be even until someone loses a head.

I guess I don't really understand why people who don't like Alistair spend time reading his gush thread or why they come here posting pictures that are supposed to make him look inadequate in some way?  Personally, I  think Alistair's face is much more pleasing to look at and much better animated than Loghain, who has a face so stiff, he looks a little like a failed botox experiment.  But I wouldn't go to Loghain's thread and try to push that theory on people who enjoy his character.

All the characters in the game are amazingly written and there's someone for everyone's tastes.  I just don't see the point in going to a thread filled with people who obviously love a certain character and try to belittle him or her to their fans.

I think CalJones posted that in good fun. I don't see how suggesting that Alistair loses a staring contest with him is belittling his character. It's fun to have a mix of people in the thread. Addai constantly visits the Loghain thread and that makes it a lot of fun.

Seriously, can you imagine if KoP wasn't a regular in this thread? It would be significantly less fun.

I myself I'm not an Alistair fan but I don't hate him either. I love coming into this thread because it's a fun thread. You guys make it fun. I think that's all that matters.

I don't think you'll find many timelines in which Alistair remains a virgin in this thread.

But that's an AU timeline. It doesn't count.

Too bad for Alistair that in my games Morrigan is always his first... well, that's not so bad really. But I somehow think that's not what he imagined of his first time.

tmp also has a mod that lightens teeth to a shade that I believe is in between the vanilla shade and white. I'll find that and come back with it.

I haven't been here that long, but KoP generally doesn't seem to annoy people here.  He seems very straightforward about his opinions and he also seems to remain respectful of the people here.

I can't speak for anyone else, but it seems like the past couple weeks or so there's been some Loghain people in here making little digs about Alistair and about people who like his character, and frequent reminders that his character's not liked by the poster.  Sometimes for me it doesn't feel like it's being done good-naturedly and that gets a little irritating.

Has anyone experienced video lag occuring right after cutscenes and combat since installing WH? It's killing me. I've updated video drivers, turned off SLI, disabled my hybrid so the integrated video card wasn't holding memory, defragged, cleaned up my hard drive, updated BIOS, cleaned out the game cache, everything I can think of or find on google and I can't get it to stop. It's really hard to enjoy the game and gush over Alistair when I can hardly move after each combat sequence or cutscene. And it only happens, seemingly in DA:O I can play Bioshock 1 and 2 at max settings, no problem, other games as well. I don't even have my graphic settings in DA maxed, and i should be able to easily.

edited: started after installing Witch Hunt and not playing at all for the couple months before that,.

I myself I'm not an Alistair fan but I don't hate him either. I love coming into this thread because it's a fun thread. You guys make it fun. I think that's all that matters.

Agreed, but then I'm known to delurk explosively in the Loghain thread so I sort of have to agree.  LOL  A bit of spice is not untoward.  We're fans, not sycophants, and I'd prefer the thread be welcoming even to those who don't worship Alistair.
