Heh, sorry about that errant_knight. If you've ever played any DnD then you'd understand it. Otherwise yes it can lose you. What's happened is that the three DA chars have found themselves in the Forgotten Realms and have come face to face with a tiefling who they mistake for a desire demon :)

Tieflings have horns and tails and are eather have a devilish or demoic ansestor. In Neeshka's case it's devlish. That's why she's not too keen on been called a demon :)

Ah! All is explained, thanks! :)

Another ToP? Make's breath! I really need to take more pictures. In the mean time, another old one....

Nice pic errant_knight. How'd you get Alistair to sit down? Or was it photoshopped?

I choose to think of it as somewhere back in time there was a proto-love interest who combined both of their traits and then the evolutionary paths split into their two divergent forms that we now have.

I don't.  I love Anders, don't get me wrong, but I disagree very much that loving Alistair is automatically supposed to lead to loving Anders more.

Glad you like it! I did that in the toolset cutscene editor. It was a lighting test for some illustrations that I'm doing for a story.

It was simple, yet elegant if that makes any sense. And besides, it has Alistair. ;)

And I didn't realize you could make that kind of thing in the editor, I really should check out the toolset one of these days. Maybe once I get a larger hard drive so I have room for such things.

Well, I guess I'm pretty much done. I've updated Sound drivers, video drivers (even completely uninstalled it, ran DriverSweeper, and installed clean), ran virus and spyware scans, changed affinity, changed SLI, everything I could possibly think off, and still nothing. Even in CAMP after one conversation the lag sets in. It's unplayable in combat even on my warrior. No more Alistair for me:(

*Hugs* That really sucks.

Edit (because I hit submit too soon), have you tried unloading WH since this happened? I've seen a few bits of lag from it, but nothing like what you've had.

Defragged, scan disk, disk cleanup, cleaned up my hard drive, disabled hybrid graphics, disabled SLI, set DA.O to run on only 1 processor out of the 4, removed Witch Hunt, removed or disabled the usual offender mods (Improved Atmosphere, Awakening in the OC, Combat Tweaks).  Changed video settings to as low as I can stand them even.

Our geek squad here will never ever touch my computer. My friends blew up after they looked at it and found no problem. Turned out there was a sticker on the vid card fan that had worked loose, got caught in the fan, and stopped it. HE figured that out, and doesn't know a cd drive from a hard drive....lol

I have the Dell 3 year service plan, but it's only in DA:O. I can run Bioshock 1 and 2, Left 4 Dead 2, The Witcher, WoW, Mass Effect, Divinity II, etc at max graphics even and no problem at all, and this issue is on the BW boards but no distinct solution, hit and miss.

There's one more thing you can do. Reinstall the game. It will solve all your problems for sure if you don't install the Awakening patch, Awakening, or anything after. It will probably solve your problem if you install up to but not including witch hunt. There is a possibility that your problem will be solved it you install everything, but I wouldn't do that.

I thought about that, but it was fine even after the patch hit. And Steam will automatically patch it on installation anyhow. I'm half tempted to go buy the darned disks themselves and install it that way but I'll lose all my DLC that came with the steam version.

I can't tell you how many times I've run out of disk space and had to delete things I would have prefered not to! I have another drive to add, but I just haven't had time to open the computer up and go through the whole formating process. Too bad my external drive isn't sata....

The weird thing about these bugs is they can come out of nowhere. I suspect strongly that unless the upcoming patch for witch hunt overwrites whatever did this, you're screwed without a fresh install. You can try doing that in steam and reinstalling everything. It might work. Might as well try it before losing yor DLC

What do you mean by DLC that came with Steam?  DLC is attached to your account, so as long as you've purchased it before, you should be able to reaccess all DLC on the PC version without purchasing it again, so long as you sign in with the same user account.  At least that's how it works as far as I know it.

I've had alot of problems with Dells.  4 yrs ago I bought a lap top - it was over $5,000.  The video card was never right, it couldn't handle my SIMS 2 game.  After 2 yrs, it was completly nerfed, they had to change the mother board.  About all its good for now is surfing the internet - barely.  I needed the motherboard changed on 3 Dell computers.

On an Alistair related note, is that him in the Kal Hirol armor on the last page?  How do you get that into Origins?

You can either use Awakening in the OC, or you can add Awakening resources to the toolset and create your own mod. Personally, I would suggest making your own mod, then exporting with dependencies.

I don't.  I love Anders, don't get me wrong, but I disagree very much that loving Alistair is automatically supposed to lead to loving Anders more.

Well, I didn't get the spell either (pun intended) but since it all bubbled up from the ferment of David Gaider's brain, along with Maric-Fiona and the Zevran and Morri romances I love so much, maybe I'll catch Anders fever someday, too.  Right now, I'm grappling with Loghain, and that's about all the irony I can handle.

Oh noes!!!

P.S. I just saw that it's Steam?  I'm swearing off Steam forever.  Every time Steam updates, The Witcher goes AWOL.  Won't open.  I followed all their instructions to teach the firewall to like it etc., and nothing.  I'm well into a Witcher game and I might just have to give up and get it on disk.

BTW.  What is happening to me?  I'm hanging out in the Loghain thread, and today I'm writing my Loghain-marries-femCousland story and having way too much damn fun at it.

Any signs of fever, retreating or wishes to spare Loghain the past few days? If not, you are safe. Otherwise....uh-oh :o

Actually, I might do that, for research:blush:  I'll do it on Aedan.  He's safely off with Morrigan in the mirror (hah, the irony of that statement) so it'll just be a bad dream or something.

Alistair is disappointed :bandit:

No no!  No puppy eyes, please!!

In my real game, Eren is close to going to kick some ass at the LM and swipe the crown from Anora's greedy little hands.  So that will be my mind cleanse.  It's all a bad dream, remember!

Lol, you know I'm getting bad with Photoshop when I have to plan out photo sessions of shots I need to complete a manipulation. My cameras sit untouched yet I'm planning out video game photo sessions. I just have to shake my head at myself.
