I decided to try my hand at an older Alistair, and I think he still looks pretty good. Didn't give him any breaks, either. I did all the stuff that happens, deeper lines, thinner lips, thinner face... One of these is with the original hair, which I personally think he'd keep, just because he likes it, and the second with shorter hair.

The shorter hair really makes him look older, the original hair style doesn't make him look like a tired old man.

Thanks! Yes, Alistair is fine looking at any age. Boy, I hope they discover a cure for the taint, or I can see my fic getting increasingly AU. I'm not letting that go to the deep roads.

I think the second one is better overall. It may be missing his signature hairstyle, but it looks more appropriate, so to speak.

Nope, not yet. I've ben very sloooowly working on it. Maybe by the end of the week I'll post the first chapter up somewhere.

That's because I don't post in chapters, I post it all when it's done. Part one should be done in about 3 chapters and a rewrite or two. It's quite...lengthy.

I'm guessing it will be up in Nov/Dec

Short lore question: Is the increased hunger of the Grey Warden staying for life or is that a new Warden-thing? Lenya and Alistair currently share an onslaught on piles of food in Tapsters in my ficlet, lol.

I always see it as a life-long thing.  Sort of like an increased metabolism.  If Grey Wardens have increased stamina like we see mentioned, they a higher metabolism seems like a requirement.  Which means they're going to be hungrier and need to eat more.

Hmm.... There's no canon, but I have then needing more food, overall. I figure it's because of the taint and fighting it off. I also have them buying supplies fairly often. But it wouldn't be crazy amounts, I don't think. Nothing like eating whole pies, or chickens. I was figuring half again as much as a normal person would eat per meal--or probably double if they're doing a lot of walking/fighting, etc.

I am frequently unintentionally hilarious, mainly to my own detriment.
