Ahh, I see. Well then I keep it this time, because they aren't on the road atm and can eat to their hearts content....which I figured would be much. Heh. On the road I see them more restrained because they have to ration their supplies in a sensible way. Thanks for the answers. <3

Criminey Meril your screenshot there looks A-Mazing on this monitor. i hate new monitors so much, getting them calibrated exactly right so my photos print/edit correctly SUCKS. So, I took a break to poke around DA:O a bit.

Aww the last one is adorable. Great timing <3 And for the screenies, well you are welcome. That aren't mine in the literal meaning of the word, though. But as a (still) console player I sadly don't have my own. Oh how I wait for christmas this year *sparkly eyes*

Good morning!

Wow, what a pic to wake up to. I absolutely love this shot of him. He looks so heroic!

Well I meant you, Knight ;) But nice to know of the other one, too ;)
Short lore question: Is the increased hunger of the Grey Warden staying for life or is that a new Warden-thing? Lenya and Alistair currently share an onslaught on piles of food in Tapsters in my ficlet, lol.

I always see it as a life-long thing.  Sort of like an increased metabolism.  If Grey Wardens have increased stamina like we see mentioned, they a higher metabolism seems like a requirement.  Which means they're going to be hungrier and need to eat more.

I am sure I saw DG say somewhere that GWs do have an increased metabolism...  It's what I've used in my FF anyway, increased appetites of all kinds, makes them interesting to write about. You could then characterise the calling as a rapid burn-out where everything starts disappearing fairly quickly...

My bad, sorry Merilsell.

As for the metabolism, I agree I can see the Joining causing it to be increased somewhat. Initially it would be worse since the body is adapting to the poison, but it'd probably taper off a bit after awhile. I don't think it'd go back to pre-Joining simply because when someone is healing they tend to eat more so the body has the resources to rebuild itself, but since the Taint is permanently a part of the Warden, their body will always be in that mode.

This is so cute!  But what has your mage done to him?  I've never seen Alistair look so stoic.

I'm wondering if it has something to do with the location of her right hand.

My PC is a bit cheesed off at Alistair at the moment. She spared Loghein at the Landsmeet, kept Alistair to his bargain of marrying Anora, and he's mad at her now (I wonder why). Even though those are terrible things, she thinks he still shouldn't have just left her flat after yelling at her. For that, I think it's going to be a US ending for my PC....so there! *stamps foot*

Can't wait to get this game done so I can go back to playing a Cousland!  :)

He's yelling at me, mom *sniffle*

Simon T does a good job though right at the end though you might find it hard to go US.
Also Morrigan's argument for the DR with Loghain around is fail to say the least.

Yeah, he does, I've done the Loghein US before.  This PC of mine has a few problems of her own, she's a mage and I think the folks at the Tower messed with her mind while growing up just a bit too much.  She lost her friend Jowan, now Alistair, and I don't think she sees much to survive for.   In time, I think she would, but Alistair's defection, no matter the reason, was the straw.  She's not feeling very enamoured of Riordan, either, since it was his 'superior' advice she listened to.

A pissed off Alistair, with a very silent Riordan

True enough outside of his "compelling reasons" line Riordian is one failworthy salesman.
But if you do go US, then think about what happens to Alistair  and losing one friend like that, he may be angry but in a while he will get over it. While its not may not be any indication really Awakening shows that Alistair is over it by that time.

Also if you can hear Loghain's banter with Dog/Wynne/Zevran its awsome.

I'm feeling the same way, but I've got much further to go.  My Dalish mage hasn't even started Orzammar yet.  She and Alistair can't seem to make up their minds.  They both have too many issues with each other's backgrounds.  My Cousland girl can just throw herself at him without worrying about all this templar/apostate nonsense.

I just took that party through RtO, which was pretty amazing.  Aside from that, I think this PC could care less what Alistair is feeling at the moment since it's always been she comforting or bolstering Alistair up, with not much of that coming back at her.  I think she knows he'll eventually get over it, but she's so hurt she doesn't really care, and cannot imagine ever getting over his voluntary abandonment.  I think she's not only hurt, but feels some contempt for him, as well.

She doesn't know yet about the Archdemon, so is figuring on, if she survives, doing the deep roads.  She doesn't see any future, as here she is still a mage, and feels she can never be free of the Circle since she is now, ostensibly, alone.  Once she hears about the Archdemon she will embrace that fate gladly.

I don't think I've ever played such a depressed, and now, really damaged PC.  She just went her own path despite what I had planned for her.

Strange not being able to get Alistair hugs   :(

@ Inclemency.

I dont really play broken PCs only ones with issues.

Like my CE who thinks if he hadent gone Rambo on the Palace he could have saved Shiani, or my DN who thinks he is a kin slayer and is haunted by murdering Trian.

My sister did play a HN who commited AD assisted suicide though after Alistair dumped her, when she didnt want to kill Loghain.

I don't play them, either, that's what's strange. But, I'll be done with this game shortly and can put it aside and have fun with a new character...and get back to normal!

I would much rather this.... :D

Its sad that whats best for the country is the worst for Alistair.

-ie Hardened and Married to Anora, with Loghain doing the US with no OGB running amok.
