Why is it that every time they tell you something like "take your pick" they haven't decided? I don't think he just wrote that wardens gain an increased appetite for the lulz, he likely also had a reason for it in mind when deciding it.

I agree with this, perhaps he was simply hinting at all the possible reasons has has already thought of then...only to be revealed more in detail later on in the series of games.

It bothers me a bit on my Cousland, but Loghain ACCEPTS his death sentence without struggle, and Anora knows darned well the punishment for his multiple crimes is in fact execution.

At the very LEAST he's an accomplice to the Cousland slaughter (rewarding and employing the man that did it, KNOWING since Ostagar it was done). Selling elves as slaves, allowing the torture of nobles, deserting the King and the Army at Ostagar., poisoning Eamon, while interfering with Chantry justice.

Just last year we had 4 police officers murdered in a coffee shop in cold blood. If the guy surrendered to the police, should he NOT get the death penalty for his crime? His relatives were arrested for providing a ride from the scene too.

I don't like killing the man in front of his daughter either, but regardless of the fact that he surrendered, treason is punishable by death.  And No matter if it's done right there in the landsmeet, or in the public square, or in Ft Drakon, Anora would be there. I've never killed Loghain becaue Alistair anted it, I don't not spare him because I'm afraid Alistair would get mad. And it doesn't bother me that he would. He has every right, even if it is personal to him, the list of crimes against The Wardens, and Ferelden is too long.

I so very much agree with this!

so if "corruption" serves as nourishment, then why do wardens eat more? wouldn't they eat less? i think there a conversation about that in DAO

The corruption serves as nourishment to darkspawn... and Wardens are not darkspawn? Perhaps a Warden's body needs nourishment in order to combat the spread of what is effectively a disease they've taken into their own system. Perhaps their body just doesn't like the "nourishment" it's being provided, or prevents the Warden from properly taking nourishment from food so they have to eat more. Perhaps it speeds up their metabolism (something darkspawn perhaps don't possess). Take your pick.

Heh, 'take your pick' canon is less than totally helpful, although it does up your word count as your characters bring up all these possibilities, deciding on nothing as proven fact.

It's obvious that he probably hasn't yet decided on a particular justification for the effects of the increased apetite just yet. And all said possibilities are valid options.

I try to leave my 'canon' as open as they do in order to minimize future conflicts. It's just as easy to have the characters discuss the options without coming to resolution as to pick one, and can lead to interesting debate between them.

And let's not forget that Anora sees the logical course of action to protect her rule as executing Alistair just for being a Theirin who once opposed her. Loghain would be the same threat to Alistair's rule, only with far greater reason, from his point of view. Not that I think Alistair is even considering that.

Oh don't get me wrong. You don't have to justify that. I think if things work out as they are supposed to and I get a new PC and DA for it at the end of the year, I'll try a new Cousland as well with all the awesome mods. But on console and modless it's rather....boring for me to fire up a new CousCous.;)

I hope things work out for you.  The mods are what keep me playing.  You'll have so much to look forward to!

Oh thanks, I hope so too. It all depends on the new job I'm applying to if I'm allowed to loot my savings, or if I have to let them be where they are at the moment. (Not the richest person right now, sigh) Buying a new system was on my to do list in the near future anyway, but I decided to let it happen a bit sooner ...if it all works out. Heh. I swear I'll be dying from squee when I see my canon char with a fresh, extended makeover the first time on screen then. Oh and the screenshot function, aww. And I'm not even talking about the mods, because my fangirl self might faint then, lol. It will be expensive thing to do perhaps, but I also know that this all will be worth it. <3 Yes, I'm easy to please, lol.

THEY may know... the Wardens have no clue, though and confirming something the Wardens shouldn't know... well... someone would Mary Sue it.

Yeah, they tend to try and keep the lore to what someone in Thedas could know if he/she researched it. There are exceptions, but mostly keeping it like that.

Oh, and Hi!

Wow, Zjarcal, that's like synchronized Derping. Who's your choreographer? ;)

Seriously, for a first Derp Day contribution that is poetry. Good job. :wizard:

Thank you!

It's all about perfectly timing your screenshot in that section to get "synchronized Derp". I really wish we had a similar opportunity with a party that didn't involve temporary companions.

I also don't doubt that if Anora saw Loghain as a threat to her rule she wouldn't hesitate to order his execution either.

I've never seen this, I've made her sole ruler pretty often really but she never asked for his head unless Loghain was spared and she was sole queen.

Oh this is the PC that caught my eye btw:

  • Black Edition AM3 AMD Athlon II X4 635, (4x 2.90GHz)
  • Mainboard ASROCK AM2+ N68C-S (µ/R/V/DDRII/DDRIII)
  • NVIDIA GeForce 9800GT 1024MB PCI-e 16x Card ECO

With shipping all together bundled for 652$, which would be 500€ for me. That sounds fair. What say the computer geeks here?

I think she is wearing the robes you get from WH but they are colored with the universal dye kit. I think it's the grey with the Phoenix patch. I had them much nicer before the Phoenix patch changed the color options.Posted Image

Found out that my (female) work colleague bought Dragon Age this weekend after having stared at my desktop at work (Have the Grey Warden shield background). She's currently at Lothering. Let's see if she joins us as an Alistair fan or not. Ah, what I wouldn't do to go back to that first time when you played DA, when everything was new and Alistair was some weirdo you thought "ehm, ok. Is he a romance?" lol.

Well, I'm not an Alistarian so my opinion isn't as worthy as the other girls here, but I prefer that face to vanilla Alistair.

However I am also one of those who doesn't like to modify the companions faces, so personally I wouldn't use it.

Haha I actually wasn't very impressed with Alistair at first. I was actually looking forward to meeting this other elf that my friend had told me about. But hey, then I started talking to him more and well, didn't take long before I became a squeeing fan girl. Was quite shocked when he wanted to spend the night with me (as I had no idea this actually happened. Nor that there was an entire cut-scene dedicated to sexy time.) memories....

And to the modded Al above. He looks like he's 12. But that's just my opinion

I didn't know there WAS romance until he suddenly swooped me after accidently clicking on him when I was looting Zevran's cronies. I was all...where the heck did THAT come from????

Um...Help -- I just finished my current, endless game and I can't find the character save folder. The folder isn't under Characters as it should be, yet I still have all the saves in the game itself. I searched all of my C drive and can't find it anywhere. what the heck? I am completely stumped at the moment, anyone have a clue?

Thanks!
