Really beautiful, inclemency.  And hey, the person who made the comment ... isn't that the artist of that gorgeous picture that grumpy posted?

Thanks! And to you, too, Tuppence, Inclemency.... The pictures on the wall behind were supposed to be Fergus, and Oriana with Oren, but the disappeared when I emptied my export directories. *Sigh* Didn't notice until it was rather late.

I love that pick, Inclemency! It's quite brilliant, you know.

Hmmm...not too familiar with this. Only one I knew of was returning the grandfather's sword to Bevin in Redcliffe after the battle.

When do you do this one?

You don't. It happens in my mind after endgame. ;) I did it in the toolset.

Yes, she's the one who did that gorgeous Knight Templar piece. Lol, it was like a rock star commented on mine!

@errant_knight - Thank you so much

Ohhhhh, ok. Thought I missed something (don't mind me -- it's been kind of a surreal day for me today) Posted Image

After seeing all the fantastic artwork on both this thread and deviantart, as a Christmas gift to myself I think I'm going to see if I can commission a drawing of Alistair and Arturo.

Sometimes the best Christmas gifts are the ones you give yourself, yes?

Heh, considering that I'm planning to buy myself a new PC and the DA-ultimate edition for it at christmas, I can only agree :D

Oh, that part was one of the most difficult things to get through. Dog's bond with my mage was so unconditional I just hoped that someone will take care of him after I was gone. But due to the imprinting I'm not sure if that's possible.

Don't worry. Non-HN's have the kennel master tell them that Dog's former master died in the Korcari Wilds (could even be the HN) and he still manages to imprint on you.

I rather approve of all the appropriate facial expressions, which the game is very often times seriously lacking, especially for the PC.

It's kind of weird to see everyone emoting like that, isn't it? A good weird, I think, but still weird. ;) I get why the PC doesn't show emotion, but there are times when it seems very odd from the companions and NPCs. I suppose that's to avoid having to do approval checks before each facial expression.

The worst that I can remember was when my Cousland girl had to fight Sten.  That was a tough fight, and she was badly injured.  Alistair (at 100 Love) stood right next to her and kinda gazed off into the distance looking like he was daydreaming.

Yeah, he objected to going after the ashes and challenged her leadership.

If you take Sten to Haven during the Urn quest, he turns on you and if you don't chose the right option, he fights you. And in my experience none of the companions did anything. Though I did beat the ever living snot out of him, but then again my rogue likes her poisons.

Oh, hmm, guess my approval was high enough in Haven, he just commented then we went on. I'll have to try the fight this game.  He's always at +100 by the time I reach Haven.

Came across this music while watching "The Da Vinci Code" last night. It's titled "Chevaliers de Sangreal" by Hans Zimmer but with its feeling of epic heroism you know I just had to re-title it "Alistair's Theme". Enjoy!

  Alistair's Theme

Well, time to call it a night. Pleasant dreams all and I will see you tomorrow!

To be fair, maybe he wasn't lying. He might just suck at child-rearing. I mean, just look at what happened with Connor.

And you have to fight Sten if you take him to Haven pre-sword and don't have enough persuade, I believe.

Wow, Sten is always one of the harder ones for me to get approval with. Ah well.

I combined two pieces of dialog in this screenshot to avoid having to post two pics.  Look at Alistair's day-dreamy expression.  And it was hard fighting Sten's two-hander with a bow and arrows and no tank.

It's not about approval, it's about successfully passing a persuade/intimidate check or selecting the right dialogue choices.

He can still challenge you even if he's at 100 Friendly.
