Sounds like fun doing it that way. I've never done the fight with Sten, and never have done the Ashes early.  I am early enough in this game to go ahead and do it this way....very cool!

It's always fun trying new options.  I wish I was doing that now!  I'm feeling really whiney about my current game right now.  My Dalish mage Sylphe is heading into Deep Roads.  :?

inclemency, you should consider doing some of your art with a horizontal layout instead of vertical.  They'd make nice desktop pics.

I've been gathering up the stock I need for a large piece that's been rattling around my head for a while. Hopefully I'll have the courage to actually go through with it, this is all alot different than photography and manipulating real photos, which I'm so much better at!

It's always fun to hear about ways you've not played DA.  Even after all the characters I've played, it amazes me to find things still not done!

Just what is Alistair looking at?  I think it's her shoes...yah, has to be her shoes!

You have my heartfelt sympathy. :crying:

I have some good news to report--  SynysterLyfe is working on a Skip the Deep Roads mod. You should see it within the next couple of weeks.

It's so strange. Alistair doesn't like my human noble. She's probably too much of a no nonsense type, not very patient or gentle. But he approves of my city elf who is walking around asking dumb questions and cracking jokes.

O   M   G !!!  :wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub:

That's wonderful news!  I've never been too crazy about mods that allow you to skip over sections of a game, but Deep Roads was coming close to making me not so excited about starting new characters.

I love the deep roads, myself. It has some of the best fights in the game. And it's creepy.... ;)

I used to feel that way.  The first few times, my character would literally be creeping down those paths, peeking around corners.  It was so scary!  But it takes so long, and I've done it so many times!  Now it just feels endless.

I've come to the conclusion that it's not the Deep Roads that I hate, but the Carta Quest beforehand. It just makes it all a bit too much.

Hm, so I can post from work, excellent.

I would love a skip the initial quests in Orzammar and go directly to the deep roads. :)

Have it start with which ever faction you want and if you want to double cross them, then proceed to dungeon crawl awesomeness.

Edit : Hehe, great minds think alike inclemancy!

Not so strange, he approves of a sense of humor, and he understands being out of one's depth, but wth his lack of personal confidence, a brusque type probably hurts his feelings pretty frequently, and he's probably had about enough of feeling dismissed or ignored.

Yeah, he's finally been given freedom by being in the Grey Wardens and starting to realize he doesn't have to take people's garbage anymore.

The whole political nonsense you have to deal with before the Deep Roads make Orzammar annoying, although I love the Shaperate and things like that. The Carta quest bugs me because their "hideout" is bigger than Dust Town and has more people. Really?

I don't mind politics, but the politics in Orzammar just gave me a headache. Of course I would've loved an alternative to Harrowmont and Bhelen. If I'd known I'd get Branka crowned and working with me, I would've sided with her and dragged her sorry butt  back with me.

Hm, maybe not. She did give the women of her house to the Darkspawn to turn into broodmothers. Posted Image

THIS.

The Deep Roads feels more like chore to me. That quest always kills my enthusiasm for wanting to complete another origin.

Hm, is it bad that I've been sorely tempted to design the module Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil using DAO when I finally get a drive big enough to hold stuff like that?

I could totally see alot of your companions reactions from different things working in there.

I absolutely Posted Image the Orzammar politics and the Bhelen/Harrowmont decision is the hardest one in the game for me (especially as the DN since my DC doesn't care beyond making Rica happy and my non-dwarves don't care beyond making sure Orzammar doesn't destroy itself and thus make the darkspawn the Surface's problem). Alistair, of course, has no such problem as he sincerely congratulates Harrowmont for winning and then totally snubs Bhelen when he wins.

Same here. I have skip the fade and will definitely pick up a skip the deep roads mod. At first it felt like cheating but I've done them sooo many times by now I just don't want to have to do them everytime.

I certainly am looking forward to Skip the Deep Roads. Lol, now, if we can only skip all the battles and just play the story! lol
