Not dumb at all. Right before he uses that line, he does his little spiel about caring for you. And asks if he's fooling himself about you ever caring for him too. Then he does the fooled you line if you use the option of "I think I already do."

I like it the other way, too, when you say you're not sure and he swoops in to kiss you. But, there's a problem with that...he makes a weird face right after that kind of ruins the whole thing. Is it just my game he does that?

He's smiling after the kiss and waiting to hear your verdict on whether or not it was too soon for him to kiss you. It's a little dorky, but I've come to love it.

TMP modded in a little stumble for the PC to happen after he swoops you. It's cute!

No, he makes that silly face in my game too.  I still love the swooping kiss.  And I really have no idea what he's talking about when he says, "So I fooled you..."  I just love the way his voice sounds when he says it.

The more I think about it, I do think he's just making a joke with the "So I fooled you...". He's either saying "so I fooled you into confessing you care about me" or "I fooled you into caring about me."

I think you're probably right.

My routine now is to listen to him say the "fooled you" line, then reload and let him swoop.

Has anyone actually fought the Loghain duel with a naked Alistair? How does he fare? Is Loghain too shocked by the spectacle and surrenders immediately?
