Remember that picture from yesterday? Where Alistair and my Cousland are returning the family sword to Fergus? Here's a happier moment from the same visit:

This game has turned me into a total sap.

Is that from a mod of some sort? Or just setting stuff up through various screenshots?

I go into the toolset, and make whatever levels/areas I need, create an animation, and take the still. The animation doesn't have to be smooth for most since I'm just setting up a single shot, generally. Still, if I want to make animations for a mod, I'll have the areas and lighting ready to go.

That's sooooo sweet! Lovely screenshot errant.

I've always wanted to do this sort of stuff in the toolset but I always get distracted and never bother to learn. Now I'm inspired again.

Has anyone actually fought the Loghain duel with a naked Alistair? How does he fare? Is Loghain too shocked by the spectacle and surrenders immediately?

My NBA actually tore through Loghain.  It was disturbing, actually.  My only thought is that Loghain was so shocked by what was happening that he couldn't really do anything except stare.

I imagine it would be fairly distracting.

This is just to say that I updated my Alistair-centric playthrough fic. It's mostly silly but I do like this bit:

Bann Teagan tried to give her a helmet. After the ceremony, she insisted that Alistair take it. “I can’t see through that thing,” she said. “Feels like I have a bucket on my head.”

“You’re not fooling anyone, you know,” he said. “You’re just worried that it will mess up your hair. Girls.”

That won him one of her rare grins. “You’re twice the girl I am,” she said.

“Oh, three times, at least. My hair’s much prettier.”

“It is,” she agreed. “How do you get it to do that flippy bit in front?”

“He uses my poultices,” Morrigan broke in tartly. “He thinks I don’t know, but I do. My elfroot salves are intended for your wounds, Alistair, not for your hair.”

“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” Alistair said loftily. Not only was elfroot wonderful for manageable hair, it also added shine.

Pardon me if I'm late but did anyone else here notice that Steve Valentine updated his Twitter with the following:

"just saying.... Alistair may make a little appearance in Dragon Age 2...maybe...just a little...."

I wonder who holds the record for most played PCs in this thread? I've completed 22 playthroughs over the last 6 months.

I've played the Mage origin more than the others. I would say that was my 1st favorite, followed by the Human Noble.

Are you still considering doing an Anora chantry sister epilogue?

I've done, um. 7? Playthroughs, all Couslands I'm afraid, though Marlana is my "canon" Cousland. 2 Awakenings playthroughs, but tbh Awakenings doesn't have the replayability Origins does for me.

Grumpy, I've actually completed about the same, although I've gotten close with at least 10 more than that and about 10 more partials, not to say how many I just played through their origin. I completed three games on Xbox, as well. Most games are Couslands or Mages, then elves. But, I have the time to play these days.

I'm trying to get through my first Awakening playthrough but I have to be honest...after spending so much time with Alistair, Zevran, Shale, and yes even Morrigan I'm having a tough time warming up to this new group of adventurers.  Well maybe Anders has managed to thaw me out a little, but that's a subject for another forum thread.

@Grumpy. Omg thanks for the link. This is fantastic!

In regards to Awakening; IF they had put more time into the characters, and actually made us able to talk to them whenever and not just when you click on a tree, a painting, a dysfunctional sex toy. Then yes, I think I would've enjoyed it more. But meh, it really sucked.

I prefered Anders over Wynne, and Nate over Leliana, but the rest were pretty meh and really bummed that of all my previous companions, I got Oghren of all people.

Alistair's cameo at the beginning was a huge disappointment. It completely left out all of the passion that was between him and my Warden. Not to mention that he was traveling with a pack of Templars, seriously? The guy who hated the entire time he spent in the Chantry and his obvious non-love for it?

@ Aeowyn Exactly. It felt like they just slapped Awakenings together. I thought the little DLCs were better made, even WH which I'm not happy with.

I did two more on my PS3 in december, i've deleted them since. I was out of work for months,  DA and the Toolset kept me occupied for awhile.  I had a long break recently for about three weeks around late august to mid-september. This game is addictive.
