I installed Awakening and all the DLCs on my husband's computer today, copied all of my characters and mods. Um, did DAO always have this nice background music? When did I switch it off?

And so funny to hear everyone speaking German. It's gives the game a hole different touch with the old-fashioned formal style they are using (but it gets kind of awkward because even your love interest won't change to formal).

I love Morrigan's German VO, she sounds so snarky and really young.

I also heard banters I haven't heard before (or in a long time). I giggled when I got Alistair's talk about how Breanna watching him with with wide eyes reminds him of a sister from the monastry and the way the voice actor delivers the line practically screams ROMANCE ME PLEASE!

Totally in agreement with this. My dialogue options would have been something like this:


1) Will you be joining us?
2) I've missed you, husband.
3) (Kiss him).
4) Meet you in my room later?
5) Drop your armor, you kingly slab of man-flesh. I cannot wait until lunchtime!

I completed three games on Xbox, as well. Most games are Couslands or Mages, then elves. But, I have the time to play these days.

I did two more on my PS3 in december, i've deleted them since. I was out of work for months,  DA and the Toolset kept me occupied for awhile.  I had a long break recently for about three weeks around late august to mid-september. This game is addictive.

I wouldn't have done so many if it hadn't been for my sitting in this chair for so long wearing a halo.  I"m so glad it came along, though, it's kept me going for months!

I was so disappointed!  Even now, I'll try to play awakening, and end up stopping after Alistair's cameo.  I've played through the whole thing four times only, the last was before the Morrigan DLC, which was totally not worth it!

The ''I married an indestructible goddess' was a good line, though.

I see people with Alistair sitting down. Is this a mod ?? and prtscrn is the button to take screenshots in DA isn't it?? I thought it was but my screenshots folder says its empty.

LOL - I didn't get that option for obvious reasons, but he did call me a minx when I tempted him to stay awhile.

There is sooooo much more than sitting.

ETA: I also occasionally have isues with printscreen. I can usually get it to work by taking a shot and pasting it in paint. Then it seems to work fine after that. No idea why.

I think you might have seen errant_knights screenshots.  They were created in the toolset, not part of the game. They're great, aren't they?  Plus IRS alistair

Screenshots, the best is to use FRAPS for screens:  www.fraps.com/  The free version works great.

 No!  If there were romance options that's what Orlesian wardens are for.

Not me.  Anders was attractive, but way too damaged a human being to be that attractive.  Nathaniel turned out okay, but not attractive, and he was a Howe, so no way.   I pretty much hated the two female characters.  Most times they never even went through the joining.

Do I need to really consider Justice?

It is a whole new world.  I started on Xbox, played through three games or so there, then got the PC version and it was like the lights went on.

Since then I've decided that he does not actually kiss my Warden on the cheek but instead whispers something extremely kinky into her ear. That explains the naughty grin on his face and why the Warden hangs her head in shame... the Queen shouldn't be seen blushing like a schoolgirl in front of all those people.

If you do get the PC version hold off on buying it for a bit longer. There's a rumor going around that a Dragon Age Ultimate Edition may be released next month. It originally was listed on gamestop.com but has since been taken down and no 'official' announcement from BioWare has been made.

I once got that nasty "Love" bug with Justice... I thought "Great! my warden is a necrophile."

This happened with my city elf, she also had Alistair executed and ran away with his zombie at the end of origins.

..."Love" bug. That's a terrifying thought. I like Justice and thought he was an interesting character, but...ew.

And I couldn't cheat on Alistair with Marlana it would be totally against everything that she is. In a way I'm kind of looking forward to writing up their first night, still plotting on how she's going to tell Alistair he's her first.

Finished the game 7 times
1 female elf mage - my first character.  She ran off with Alistair to rebuild the wardens
2 HNF rogues (1 archer, 1 dw) Queens.
1 HNF rogue who was involved with Alistair,but did US
1 HNM rogue involved with Morrigan, married Anora, spared Loghain, did the DR, drunk Alistair 
1 DEF rogue who ran off with Zev
1 human mage, involved with Leliana, married Alistair to Anora, pardoned Loghain and had him US

Unfinished but still planning on completing:

1 male blood mage involved with Zev
1 DNF warrior involved with Alistair
1 DCF rogue was with Leli, but she'll probably end up with Alistair
1 CEF rogue with Alistair
1 HNF warrior Queen

So many characters started and abandoned in Lothering.

1 HNF rogue Queen finished Awakening.
I didn't hate that exp.  I liked the little smile that Alistair's whisper brought to my character's face.  I liked Nate a lot.  And SurelyForth has made me like Anders a lot, but not necessarily in the game.  I guess I like both of those characters more in fanfic than I do in the game.

The mod is Improved Romance Scenes, including origin-specific romance scenes.  It really is wonderful.  I can't remember if it has Dahlia's First Night included, which adds romance, as well.  There's an added hug when you are in a romance, which is even better than the kiss, as well.
