Totally in agreement with this. My dialogue options would have been something like this:


1) Will you be joining us?
2) I've missed you, husband.
3) (Kiss him).

5) Drop your armor, you kingly slab of man-flesh. I cannot wait until lunchtime!

6] Guess i will have to make do with Anders? or Nate?

The very thought of doing that, and then imagining Alistair's reaction when he finds out, makes me a sad panda.  I don't know how anyone could do that.  He would be so heartbroken.  Assuming, of course, that you love him.  If you didn't, I guess it wouldn't be as terrible, but, ugh, talk about not being very nice.

Since the only character I took through Awakening was married to Alistair ... no way.  But if Nate or Anders had been romanceable, I definitely would've created an Orlesian.

Nathaniel was interesting, even if he wasn't much of a looker. He was pretty much the only character in Awakening that got me wishing I got to see more of. I'd definetely go for him if he was a romance option in DA2 (it's been heavily suggested by the devs that he'll be there and David Gaider has stated that he would have liked to write a Nate romance so... who knows?). But not in Awakening, though. My Wardens would never cheat on Alistair.

Does it count as 'cheating' if it's a political marriage and you've already talked about that? I know even in the post-Landsmeet scene you can pretty much tell him you'll be sleeping with other people to get that heir.

ETA: I also occasionally have isues with printscreen. I can usually get it to work by taking a shot and pasting it in paint. Then it seems to work fine after that. No idea why.

Do I need to download all the files in that link ?? To take a screenshot do you just prntscreen then paste in paint?? I might try that . I already have the improved sex scenes mod tho it wasn't quite what I wanted from a mod,I wanted the whole romance thing from Alistair

The file you want is IRS-A V3.zip. You can download the others as well but the romace stuff is in there. As Inclemancy said fraps is great for screenshots, I use it but still on occasion use use printscreen as well.

I only need to paste one screenshot in paint to get it to work right. After that everytime you hit prt sc it automatically adds the pic to your folder, no more pasting. Sometimes it works just fine without doing the paste thing so I don't know if it's me or if it will help you as well.

Ok I got the addon *giggles and does happy dance* I didn't see the DAzip file. So i did the manual unzip into the folder will it still work ??

There is a readme file, please go through that so you have no conflicts with any other mods, it gives instructions, as well.

From the little smile it brought to her face, I'll bet it was something definitely not meant to be heard by others.

I read it and I don't have any mods that do any of that . Especially the mod that changes Alistair. I like his handsome self just the way he is

I'm well aware of what thread that is. I do have more than one playthrough that's done the Alistiar romance and one that has a Queen Cousland. I was just wondering whether it counts as cheating if he knows the score. If the Alistair thread is not the appropriate place to ask a question about marriarge to Alistair then maybe you could direct me towards the thread that would be more more suitable.

In my game, his woman would never cheat on him (even though Nate, Anders & Justice were all in love with her in one game). My mage who romanced Zev would have totally cheated on him. She was really in love with Alistair, but knew it could never work - so she just loved him from afar. When she met Anders, she thought he would be perfect. Handsome & funny like Alistair, but with a lot in common so that they would completely understand each other.

Hmm. I don't think it would count as cheating if it's a political marriage. Sure maybe the affairs would be kept hushed but if you both know the score and if there's no love between you...no, IMO it wouldn't count as cheating
