It's silly, really.  I'm 5'7 with a large frame, my husband is 6'1 with a medium frame, and proportion wise (height and build) we look like a dwarf and Zevran.

Oh yes, I'm definitely dwarflike in that regard myself. Disposition too from what I've been told.

Hm, so thoughts for my fellow fanfiction writers. Do you think Alistair would freak out more if told beforehand that the Warden who has been hitting on him has about as much experience as he does, or after the tent scene when he finds out in a different way?

Yes, I'm evil, but I like poking people. Probably why all my saves for conversations involve things like "Poking Zev" or "Annoying Morrigan".

I don't actually see him freaking out either way. He wants to be in love, not hire a tutor. ;) As long as she doesn't mock him, he's fine with it. He does ask, though, so if the romantic interest lied about it, he might wonder why, and what else they might lie about.

Oh, that's true. Still, Gregoir suggests that the right of annulment should arrive very soon, which makes me think that the Templars should've taken over the tower if you took too long.

But that would've messed up everything really.

Wynne talks about your experience? I never noticed that. At least on my mage this time, I told her first "what not worried about ME getting hurt??" and I was quite old enough to think for myself. It bugs me to see F!Cousland (great I'm typing it that way and still don't understand wtf it means) portrayed as some kind of ho. WTF is that about anyhow? Not only in games, but alot of fics too. I don't get it.  I agree her parents would have certainly raised her better. It's been too long since I played one, Elea is sitting in Lothering waiting for Jaina to hurry the heck up...lol

I'll have to dig out my save for the exact wording. But she makes this comment that the warden has more experience in such matters than Alistair. I was sitting there thinking, "That's one hell of an assumption."

I think the reason why so many people think the FemCousland is a ho because of the Sweet Dairren quest (which I haven't done on Marlana, but did do when I played vanilla Elissa) and one of his comments is that she has a "reputation" when invited to sleep with her.

Mine told Dairren to go soak his head...lol

That's like saying all mages have to be blood mages, or all elves have to hate humans. Fairly silly. Just because the option is there, you don't have to use it. People don't do things they could do all the time. Personally, I don't feel that the family dynamic lends itself to being a skank, and have never played her that way. Doesn't mean that one couldn't play a black sheep with as much validity. I've never got a line about being 'experienced', so I'm guessing that happens when you bed your family's guests in your own home. Not very discreet at all.

I really like them, though apparently they're stats don't cut it later on. But...that can always be fixed with The Winter Forge. I like them for my rogue. Just DON'T install them before starting a character. There's no console script to add them  (the latest version, anyway) and even if you make that mistake and uninstall and reinstall them, you won't get them, so just be careful.

Congrats on your first ToP, Jadiefever - you did fine!!

Here's a backup in case you still wanted it. I posted this a few weeks back but for all the new forumers here it is again. I also play Star Trek Online and decided to make one of my bridge officers a bit more...shall we say iconic? Image IPB  Enjoy!

I'm not sure you'd be the black sheep just for sleeping around.

Although I do find the line Fergus gives when you suggest that you have multiple lovers to be fairly amusing. I don't recall it exactly but it's something like "Hush! If you're going to be like that, at least keep it quiet".

EDIT: Gah, it's Oriana the one who says that line. Makes sense, she's the only who disapproves of that behavior.

Not my cup of tea at all, I'm afraid. I play a warrior, and usually put her in scale armor, or make a recolored version of Cailan's armor for her. If I was playing a mage, I would probably make a unisex rogue armor and give it appropriate stats for a mage.

Hehe thanks.

I don't know about anyone else, but I love when someone puts up a totally random (but justified by text) image. It shocks me when I scroll down. (Giggle's unique Alistair morph, for example)

Ok, I had never gotten this line since I've never bedded Darrien, only Iona, but...

Fergus: "Well, I sure hope he's worthy of your time, or I'll have to have a chat with the fellow."

I think that being experienced hardly qualifies one as being a skank or a black sheep. There is nothing in the dialogue you have with your immediate family that indicates that anyone besides Oriana finds your behavior even remotely questionable (Fergus seems to encourage it) and, from the banter about wenches, something tells me that the Couslands are fairly open minded about sexuality, as the rest of Ferelden seems to be.

And if you're a HNF, Fergus calls you a saucy minx when you mention Dairren...but in an endearing kind of way... which is weird since he's a the big bro.

Edit: was beat to the punch

Yeah, that's what I'm seeing in the Toolset at the moment!

I'm sorry, but it's pretty clear the family doesn't have a problem with being a bit on the wildside.

@Jadie:

The saucy minx I had gotten, pretty funny too. Fergus rocks!

I love Alistair but some of the NPCs are written so well and sexy in their own way.

I think it's the voices that get me.  Teagan, the Templar in Lothering, Duncan (was actually disappointed when he died in my first playthrough cause I was really wanting to ummm... get to know him better), and the Captain of the Guard in Denerim are all pixels I'd like to play with... just to hear them speak!

This.

There's nothing skanky or demeaning about being "experienced" or sleeping with a guest, and the Couslands don't seem to have a problem with it. It seems to be fairly common behavior for the time.

I'll admit, I've been fascinated by the various responses I've gotten, it's definitely given me a lot of thought on how to handle writing up the relationship.

On an aside, I've been replaying my HNF from the beginning to help remind me of different things while writing, one I noticed is that I've had a few more conversation options with Alistair that give approval. Does anyone know if any of the romance mods with him give that? Or did I just hit the right combination of choices?
