I've always gotten the feeling that a lot of nobles in the medieval times liked to sleep around. It might have been hushed, sure. It's not like the Chantry is some version of the Medieval Roman Catholic church where women were evil witches and sinful. The Chantry only seem to care about mages (now the fact that Templars and chantry sisters/brothers take their vows is another story.)

Ohh. Good point. I always think of that being the Rennaissance though, not so much medieval time. There are books out there though, titled "Sex With Queens" and "Sex with Kings" documenting just how much of that has gone on throughout history. So I suppose it's really not that implausible.

edit: I laugh every time I see naked Alistair with the Thane Helmet. Like,  Alright you're completely nude, BUT you're wearing squiggly horns as your only protection?

King Henry the 8th for example had 6 wives and a very large sexual appetite which is recorded in history he had countless mistress's . one of them bore him a bastard son he later claimed when his "wife of the time " couldn't produce any. So its safe to say that this behavior goes way back into history.

He was also very fat, greedy, had a daddy cannon that shot blanks, smelt bad, and was not an overly nice person.
He represents a deviant not a trend in history, many other English kings didnt even has mistresses that we know off at least.

The Thane Helmet is Alistair getting back to his Avvarian roots. It's all for show.

And to protect his handsome, handsome face.

Lol, at level 10, Morrigan has almost 10,000 in friendly fire damage, that's more than she's ever gotten in a whole game of mine.  Should be fun to see the total

What I can't wait to see is how quick the Archdemon fight is going to go! Poor Alistair's going to go bounding in to attack the demon. One hit from Morrigan and she'll give him a look like "What?"  Image IPB

Lol, she already got the High Dragon kill  :?

Alistair being all manly
*snip*

Nice shot! I wish they weren't changing the ogres. Where is this, endgame?

Kind of, that's in the Temple of Vulak.  I still haven't completed the whole thing..  I get to one area and just about swallow my tongue in horror...I'll get through it one day.  But for now, I get to that place and just go ahead and leave the dungeon.

I like Morrigan all in white.  Alistair has been sniping at Morrigan, more than usual, maybe it's all the friendly fire damage!

Given that he had three children, he was hardly 'shooting blanks.' He may not have been particularly fertile but he could still reproduce. Three times.

I haven't done that one. I did Calenhad's tomb--impossible until you get to a high level! Temple of Vulak is harder, isn't it? Hmmm... Maybe I should load that one up and give it a try, huh?

Remember Alistair likes Pike twirling ^_^

Wynne: Why do you occasionally refer to Alistair as a "little pike-twirler?"
Oghren: Why? Has the little pike-twirler taken offence?
Wynne: It's just a curious description.
Oghren:
Curious? (Snorts) Bah. it's entirely true. What, you haven't seen him
twirling his pike? Goes at it when he thinks no one's watching. Knocks
about in the trees like there's no tomorrow. Caught him just the other
day. Blushed all the way down to his navel, then couldn't find his
shirt. I swear he's going to hurt himself one of these days, the way he
wors that thing.
Wynne: I don't want to hear this anymore, do I?
Oghren:
I keep telling him, pikes are for sticking things at long range, aye?
Horses and such. Not for twirling like a sissy-girl.
Wynne: Wait, you're talking about an actual pike? Like a spear?
Oghren: Obviously. What else would I be talking about?
Wynne: I can't imagine.

He is RUMORED to have done that three times.
Nobles were known to get people to impregnate their wives to produce heirs.

Also his wives/mistresses could have done it themselves, what with him killing or imprisoning them left and right.

It's by the same person who did Tomb/Calenhad.  Lol, you've got to go through it at least once, if only to see the one area with the mobs (I won't say any more).   Calenhad I do at level 14/15, Vulak I do before the AD, or even afterwards.

Everybody should experience Temple of Vulak at least once. HEH HEH HEH!

Have you tried Bloodworks?

The voice acting is cringeworthy in the beginning but the quests are fun and well thought out.

Yeah, but you'd think if that were the case he'd have had more than three children.

No, I haven't tried it, I will now, though.   The only ones I''ve tried and kept are:
Tomb of Calenhad
Castle Cousland
Temple of Vulak
Hilltop under Siege

Yes, everyone needs to experience the Temple of Vulak at least once!  :D
