It's still lopsided. Sure every origin can tell Alistair "only once" or "i've licked my share of lamposts and then some" but ONLY the HNF has the whole "act it out" in the origin itself. The rest are either a flirtation (mage), actual first love (Dwarf Noble Female and Dalish Female), impending Marriage (CEF) or single (Dwarf Commoner). Which is my complaint, I think it helps perpetuate the "looking down upon" attitude that many Cousland Fem players face on the boards. I've even read fics where the fic is about one race and paints the HNF as a tramp. And that's what bugs me. Each Origin is unique, and moving. The HNF the most in my opinion, so why did they NEEd to add that bit to it.
I can only speak of the origins I've played. CEF, DF, mage and HNF... I must say I liked the seduction bit in the HNF, but as for the other two, whose to say what the mage did and didn't get up to in the tower... Wynne and Anders say something about mages and physical activity, it seems that mages do have a different sexual morality to the general populance that on the most basic level is hardly surprising since most are confined for most of their lives like animals in a zoo and, apart from anything else, it must get BORING...
As for CEFit seems to me she wants to determine her own emotional destiny but that is not the same as saying that she hasn't had relationships... She might well have.
DF clearly loves Tamlen but he may not be her first or even her second, Dalish sexual morality is likely to be different to that of the other populations of Ferelden and I wouldn't be surprised if it emphasised reproduction...
That's it exactly. It can be seen that way for the other origins. It's a possibility, it's a maybe. But it's written straight into the HNF, its blatant. I mean come on, Dairren AND Iona, a threesome right there in the origin? I'm just saying it could have been a subtle as it was with the rest while still maintaining the uniqueness of the Origin. Personally my mage darned well had a fling with Anders in the tower in my mind. And my Noble? Never been kissed. To be fair, she hasn't met Alistair yet.
Yep, we're agreeing... as a matter of personal preference I would have liked to seen the same opps available to females in the other origins as they were in the HNF which I loved, loved... I RP'd my first mage as inexperienced but then as the game got on, I thought that was probably a mistake... No way, she might not be hanging around a lot but confined in a tower? There have to be outlets...

I saw a mention of the CE origin a few posts ago and it reminded me of something I was frustrated with in my one and only playthrough as a CE. In the Alienage, when Alistair learns about the wedding one of the dialog options is to tell him you'll explain everything later. I chose this option, thinking we could talk about back in camp where it made more sense to discuss something so personal, but of course, that option doesn't exist. Am I the only one who was annoyed by that?
And complete topic change (for this relative "new-to-this" chick)... What's "top/s" stand for?

I think Leliana is a possibility. She's older and an experienced woman.

Good morning!
The premise behind Darkspawn Chronicles is that no one survived the Joining ritual that contained your PC, so it fell to Alistair to take charge of the group. However for this DLC you play the part of the Darkspawn.
Eventually I may feel perverse enough to give it a try but right now I'm giving it a pass. To someone like me who is completely smitten with Alistair the subject matter is way too depressing. The link to the final cutscene is below. Watch at your own risk.

Mage!!!! You tricked me! How could I not watch when it was labeled "Watch at your own risk"?
*bawls*
Seeing Morrigan like that was really...odd.
edit: *sarcasm* Oh wait. You included this guy.

Ah, Alistair's face at the end, when he's looking up at Archie, knowing they're defeated... I'd post a screenie, but it's far, far too painful. *cue dramatic fainting*. After playing DSC I had to quickly load up a pre-tent-propositioning save to assure myself that Alistair was safe and happy as one could be when they're killin' themz dorkspornz every day.
I don't think it's too much of a stretch to imagine that Leliana and Alistair could end up together if the Warden was killed during the Joining. They have a few things in common, especially if Leliana's left unhardened, and Alistair would need someone to lean on if he was the one leading that motley group against the Blight. Especially since Leliana is most likely his first companion after escaping the Wilds with only Morrigan at his side, I think he'd appreciate her more in that case.
But non-AU? Hah, my Cousland would quickly claim her territory if Leli tried anything on her favourite templar. Claws and all.

So it's either make another elf mage or keep playing on my male mage who is currently romancing Leliana (which is just naaaaaw.) Still though, would've been nice to finish at least one Cousland who would eventually become a Princess Cous Cous. Lady J, you had a cute Cousland a couple of pages back, any advice on how to make a similar morph?
On topic. I went to Goldanna's with my male mage and I got a surprise when it came to THAT conversation. She actually didn't seem to hate Alistair that much. Basically after I used the persuade check on her the convo went something along this:
PC: Goldanna, Alistair came here looking for his family.
Goldanna: So....here it is. He killed mother.
Alistair: You think I wanted her dead?
Goldanna: *Sigh*. No I suppose not. I can't imagine you were treated well either. A bastard is still a bastard after all. I don't know what you're hoping to find.
(ehm, not a direct quote but something along those lines)
Is she just nicer if you're a male or did I miss something?

You could always DL some presets from the Nexus. I use DAO-Modder, so I just have the CharGen Toolset file installed. Opens up loads of options.

Yeah, so not watching. If I want depressing, I'll load my US save. Anyway, I don't need DSC to know what it's like to be a monster. I work in an insurance call center, while my company does pay claims, at the end of some days, I think being a Darkspawn would be easier.

I am playing my mage as a more bold figure. She wanted to escape the confines of being a mage and didn't want to dress like them either. She was torn tho because she respected the knowledge of the Senior mages and didnt want to be a apostate. So she accepted the grey wardens offer.(Tho I wish they had another option for getting out of the mage tower besides Jowan, hes a twit of a mage in my opinion)
