One of the few? I think that's the majority. It's an option most people would rather avoid but don't because they want to live...

No, I mean that too. It does bother a lot of people from what I've read on the forums (mostly in Alistair related threads, surprise! lol) but people do it anyway because it is the only way for both of you to live. If it weren't a matter of life or death I doubt as many people would do it. It does bother most people, since you still see us arguing whether or not it was the right choice, was my/Alistair's life worth creating something like a person with the soul of an Old God when we don't know what that could mean for the future, etc. Just saying it does bother a lot of people and I doubt if it weren't to save our own skins any of us would take it.

I dind't liked Wynne when I first met her, either. But I respect her now, above anything else

Try playing a Blood Mage who romances Zevran and see if you like her as much.

I prefer romancing Alistair, instead. And she's very nice.. One thing I don't like is when she says that my Warden could hurt Alistair. But I understand her, she lived long enough

Honestly she tries to force her/the chantrys view on me the whole game.

I like both those characters too! Wynne had me forever with the griffons story. Yes, her lecture on your love life is irritating, but she apologizes for that. I thought it made her more realistic, and endearing in a way: she makes a mistake and acknowledges it.

I would love to go shoe-shopping with Leliana in real life. After all, the fashion advice Leli gives out to other party members is really quite good. Morrigan would look stunning in a wine-colored velvet gown with a plunging neckline.

I like to think Leliana will be the wedding planner for Alistair and my Princess CousCous, provided I can actually grit my teeth and go through with the DR when the time comes...

Omg, me too.  I hit the Escape key as soon as possible, as I just don't want to see anything!  

Someone wrote a story (and I cannot recall who, I"m so sorry to say) about that being the way Alistair loses his virginity.  As he and the warden were in love, that premise was SO heartbreaking.   Can you imagine?

I hated doing the DR the first time with my female city elf. After i saw the Aimo comic though, my attitude towards Morrigan changed. It showed a whole new side to her, which unfortunately was never seen in the game.

This is great news, but it makes me so conflicted given that my canon ending is Warden Commander (it's the only ending I can get without metagaming). But -- but -- more Alistair!

Lol, yeah, but I got a bunch of crap once for saying how much I hated the DR, which is why I said that.

Yeah, when your choices are kill yourself, kill Alistair (which I know for some they don't care) but since this IS the Alistair thread I bet most of us don't want to kill off our char's LI, or have Alistair dump you on your butt if you allow Loghain to live then let Loghain die. Honestly, I don't care about Loghain dying, but I do care about Alistair dumping my Warden.

Since my Warden wants to live to spend what life she has with the man she loves, she rips her own heart to pieces to have Alistair do the DR.

On a sidenote, I did watch the DR cutscene once, poor Alistair looks sickened and terrified (and that's even after I had him hardened with his quest). They don't show the act, the scene goes dark. I feel even badly after that, but figure they can make up for it later.

I dislike the DR too, and for the obvious reason but that feeling is confused with admiration...  What a great, great plot twist... So dark... So much potential...

Yeah, I have that mod, it's a bit rough in spots, but has a huge emotional impact. I always saw Morrigan and Leliana as the sisters my HNF would've wanted. Sure Morrigan is...well not entirely a nice person but as you get to know her, she isn't the utter incarnation of evil which nicely counteracts Lel's sweetness.

And this is what I was talking about. I felt so bad when I saw this expression.

I like that! I wonder, which endings in DAO will cause him to appear in DA2? Now I definitely WILL buy DA2.

So it's either make another elf mage or keep playing on my male mage who is currently romancing Leliana (which is just naaaaaw.) Still though, would've been nice to finish at least one Cousland who would eventually become a Princess Cous Cous. On topic. I went to Goldanna's with my male mage and I got a surprise when it came to THAT conversation. She actually didn't seem to hate Alistair that much. Basically after I used the persuade check on her the convo went something along this:
PC: Goldanna, Alistair came here looking for his family.
Goldanna: So....here it is. He killed mother.
Alistair: You think I wanted her dead?
Goldanna: *Sigh*. No I suppose not. I can't imagine you were treated well either. A bastard is still a bastard after all. I don't know what you're hoping to find.

(ehm, not a direct quote but something along those lines)
Is she just nicer if you're a male or did I miss something?

Elea just took alot of messing with shapes, sliders, etc to get her right for me. And there are still things I'd like to fix but A bunch of my files disappeared when I backed up last time, including her .mrh. So All I can adjust is her hairstyle now, which is good at least since her playthrough will have 2 hair changes. Right now she's in the "got dragged out of bed by an attack and haven't had time" style...lol

And yes, Goldanna is nicer if the PC is a male. I really don't understand that, it annoys the crap out of me.
