Finally got the Axameter encounter again

Wow, something new!  I've never seen that before.

DR - Even after so many playthroughs, I have not grown used to it.  It still makes me feel bad.  I think the HNM with Morrigan as a LI is the only time when it's not awful.  But for me, awful is better than the alternative.  :(

Princess Cous Cous is on hold before she kills th AD (waiting for the wedding mod!) So Dexter is going to have his chance to be hero now (we'll see how long I can go before I need some Ali lovin). I think he'll look cute with Mori (and I need the achoevement for my PC - I only have it on x-box)

I forget again does IRS-Alistair work with Morrigan Restoration? Hubby is playing again, HNM, planning to romance her, and me, well I just ant her fixed in my game too...lol

Also, I (sorry ot) need a Morrigan Romance guide for him...lol

I run Morrigan Restoration and IRS with no problems.  It will have a conflict with ZDF, I believe- check for a morrigan_main double-up.  You'll want the morrigan_main from Morrigan Restoration.

Sweet! Thanks Addai! Have some cake!

I gotta say, even as a non Alistarian, the DR "sexytime" is hard to watch. It's just sooooo inappropriate because they used the same scene as with the male warden in romance with Morrigan.

And poor Alistair, in my games, Morrigan is his first! Well, not that sexytime with Morrigan is a bad thing (hardly!), but I can see it's not how he envisioned his first time.

Yes, my CEF, Bree, felt really, really, really bad about that.  I wish there had been an option to give him a quickie before sending him to Morrigan.  Zevran would have understood.

Would Alistair really have wanted to have a quick first time with someone that he didn't hate so he could shortly afterwards have a second time with someone that he did? That's two meaningless sexual encounters he'd need to go through instead of just one and it would be obvious that the first one was just so that he wouldn't have his first time with Morrigan which seems kind of like pity sex. Yeah, the whole idea just doesn't sit right with me.

Edit: I mean, it's not like she's going to be mocking him if he makes a mistake. If you're a female then Alistair is her only hope of an OGB and so she NEEDS him to be willing and able to go through with that and making fun of him might give him performance issues.

It depends.  It would be up to him, of course, but Bree and Alistair are BFFs.  I wouldn't necessarily call it meaningless, but I know what you're saying.  It would be more something to get him over his nervousness, for his first time to be with someone who oves him (just not in that way) and someone that he cares about.  It would definitely be something he would have to decide on his end.

Maybe I should have phrased it that I would like there to be an option to offer him one.  I know someone people romance him, even if they don't intend to stay with him, just so that his first time isn't with Morrigan.  I disagree very much with that and hence why Alistair is a virgin in Bree's run.

I also don't think Morrigan is going to mock and insult him.  It seems counterproductive.

It's actually an Easter Egg, but does give you a good weapon (Axameter).  It's based on the monty python version of the sword-in-the-stone.

I dunno, Morrigan and Alistair reeaaallly don't like each other. They seem to mix as well as oil and water.

It's a random encounter so it's not set in a specific place, although I've read that the trigger seems to happen more if you're wandering the Brecilian Forest.

The quest is very straightforward. An old axe is lodged in a stump. Peasants are convinced that whoever pulls it out will be next in line to be the ruler of Ferelden. Nothing to this quest, actually - you just pull out the axe. Nothing else happens but you do get a nice axe out of the deal.

This reminds me. We were watching WWE wrestling Friday night. There's a character, been around for about 20 years called the Undertaker. The first part of his career, his gimmick, was that he was controlled by this Urn. His Manager carried it around. In a match, if he went down, and nothing else could get him up, the manager would raise the urn, and Undertaker would sit straight up. He hasn't used this gimmick now for several years.

Things happened recently that made him lose his focus, and this Friday they show him sitting in a stairwell, head in his hands, when the door opens and he suddenly show him snapping back into himself, but didn't show the other person. I looked at Hubby and said "It's Paul Bearer and the Urn!" Hubby said no way.

The show progresses, his brother is in the ring bragging about how he destroyed the undertaker yaddayadda. When A coffin comes to the ring, the guy opens it only to find the manager and the urn...and Undertaker behind him when he turns back.

I looked at hubby and said "HA! I was right! It's THE URN OF SACRED ASHES!!!"

He totally rolled his eyes.

She needs him, in a very literal sense at that moment.  She really can't risk pissing him off and driving him away.  Have you ever worked with people you hate?  Sometimes you just stfu, grin and bear it, in order to get the job done.  In that situation, being antagonistic is a stupid thing to do.

I'd also like to think in a playthrough where the PC romances Alistair, and they're friends with Morrigan, Morrigan would forgo being b!tch for just a little bit, for the PC's sake.

Hm, very good points all the way around. And Morrigan isn't a stupid woman, just...crabby. :D

Oh and that Alistair romance mod that gives the extra approval in spots? Sick stuff, already up to 24 approval with him and I literally just arrived at Lothering and asked him about Duncan.

She does promise him that he won't hate it as much as he thinks. Again though that's kind of rubbing salt in the female PC's wounds, if you're the jealous type.

Great screenshot, cme.

Okay, every time you post a screen, you have weapons and armour that are even more gorgeous than you did the last time you posted a screen. What are all of these? Her armour, his armour, the weapons? They are all beautiful.

Nice shot!  What's the weapon with the green runes that your character has?

In my game, there's some strangeness going on.  Alistair is possessed!

I don't like Wynne so much anymore, so I've been leaving her at camp.  We were just in Deep Roads, and Alistair became possessed by her.  His lips were moving, but it was her voice that was coming out.  And she thought we were in Haven.  I've seen this bug before, but I never noticed that the voice was coming from Alistair.

One of my DEF's didn't even see him as a friend and was annoyed at that he didn't seem to get the picture that she thought he was an impulsive idiot who was just going to get her killed. That was definitely a fun run through the origin. Image IPB

*snickers* It might take them a little bit though, judging some conversations I've had with guy friends who talked a little bit about their first time and being a bit overeager.

Of course they were hormonal teens and not someone a little older with "templar discipline" ;)
