Honestly, I think it was the music used for the DR that really bothered me. I really do think Morrigan was trying in her own way trying to make things a little easier for everyone involved. She's really not the type to be gentle and understanding. Depending on how you handle her through the game, she becomes a little better at it, but it's not something that comes naturally to her.

Lol, yeah I think others view Morrigan differently than I do. I don't think she would care how her comment was taken, I think she enjoys the power over the PC and Alistair. Of course I like Morrigan a lot, and always romance her with my males. But still....

Morrigan is one character that I haven't warmed up to.  I really tried!  My HNM romanced her and fell in love with her.  He kept quiet about his feelings, because she was so vocal about her disdain for love.  But when she gave him the ring, he admitted his love for her.  That was fairly early in the game, and from that moment on, they pretty much had no relationship.  She had nothing new to say to him, and if he'd suggest tent time, he'd snap at her.  That went on until Landsmeet.  He finally arranged a political marriage with Anora.  Then finally Morrigan brought up their relationship and they decided to keep it from Anora.  He tried to invite himself to her tent again, and she rejected him.  He tried to talk more to her, and she still had nothing to say.  Finally at the end, he did the DR with her, but by that point it almost felt like cheating on Anora.  And then they had an emotional goodbye.

So was that it?  Or did I do something wrong?  Maybe mentioning love is never ok?  I realize I must be missing some deeper stuff that's going on, but it left me feeling meh.

I've played 2 mages since then, and she's just stayed at camp.  I haven't even done WH with my HNM.

The problem is that they used the same romantic scene, that was meant for males in romance with Morrigan, with both Alistair and Loghain (or a male PC that wasn't in romance with her). I really think a fade to black right after the conversation is over would've been much more effective for those not romancing Morrigan.

All the chargens that you want to  combine need to be somewhere in your override folder. They can be in individual folders as long as they are in override.

The fade to black would've been much better and much less icky. I did see one time a part of the DR with a male warden in a romance other than Morrigan. The poor guy looked even more traumatized than Alistair.

There is a mod to make a kick ass scene with Morrigan if you romanced her. The problem is it would play for Alistair/Loghain as well, and that would be icky. I am going to take a look and see what can be done, so that there is a fade to black for those who don't romance her.

Yeah, and that is one scene you would NOT want to see if you were romancing Alistair!

And that sounds like a good idea cmessaz. I don't think it would be hard to implement, especially for you, seeing how you've done those amazing mods.

Between the enjoying it line, plus how she was asking you how he was in bed - DG can go on after the fact, about how good she is, and make up all kinds of comics showing that she is compasionate and make you feel like a douch bag for shanking her in the WH death scene - but to me, none of this compassion came out in the game.  Like Cmessaz said, it seemed she got off on the power trip.  She had to put up with your kissy face the whole blight, and now she wants to prove to you that if she had wanted Alistair, she would have been the one to get him.  Plus, she has the power to have a baby with him - which you will never have.

I gotta agree here. She's trying to comfort Alistair. Granted, that may not have been the best way to do it, but I really don't think her intentions were to rub it in on the Female PC that was romancing Alistair.

Yeah, I agree. She says that no matter what if Alistair is doing it so it's not like it's just a dig at Alistair's LI. I took it as a Morrigan way of saying 'Don't worry, it's not going to be that bad.' Would Morrigan saying something like 'This is really, really going to suck for you and scar you for life but deal with it because I need a baby' be less upsetting to Alistair's LI? Is she supposed to be completely silent? What could she possibly say (keep in mind something super sensitive and understanding is OOC for Morrigan) that would not run the risk of pissing Alistiar or his LI off?

She's trying to bond with you and will ask about Zevran or Leliana as well (though she's kind of pissy about Leliana) if you're friends. She's not trying to get a sneak peak into what her magical DR night with Alistair will be like.

Well, meta gaming you can say that, but in a game where you romance him, it leaves my PC thinking, "WTF - is that what that line of questioning was all about yesterday".  Perhaps she should find another way to bond with the PC if she knows she is planing to sleep with her fiancee. Maybe ask about her needlepoint hobby, or something.

I agree with this. I don't think she has malicious intentions but I certainly don't think she is trying to comfort anyone. I don't know how the deleted scene would have been implemented but it sems ooc to me. I don't think she struggled at all with what she was doing. Perhaps there was regret if she is friends with the pc but that's about it.

How about nothing? I think the lines before would have sufficed, leave it at "let us go somewhere more private Alistair". I just think it was something that was horrible to say at all. Especially in front of the PC who is romancing Alistair. ESPECIALLY if she is your pc's friend.

Idk, I don't consider that bonding since if you are in love with Alistair and are honest about it she disapproves. If anything it may be an attempt  to confirm a percieved weakness in a friend and dissapointmnet when, in fact, it is confirmed.

Agreed. Saying nothing shows a bit of respect for the diffucult choice that the pc and Alistair have made.

Unless you romance her, she still thinks that attachment and love are weakness, taught to her by Flemeth.

But no I am not a real fan of her or the DR since I dont enjoy being lied to and USED for about a year.

This is what happens when you rush things. The DR as a whole was so rushed that we ended with a lot of inappropriate scenes and dialogue. Still, considering that Morrigan says that line even if you're NOT romancing Alistair, I fail to see how it's her way of rubbing it in to the F!Warden.

Well thanks!  Sadly  I've lost most everything between my hard drive crash and the stupid dup key error I had a while back so I'm back to square one. But I'll look into it.

I don't know, she was helping you as well. It's not like Morrigan wasn't risking her life everytime she entered into battle with you. I really think saying you're being "USED" is too much. And how is she lying to you? She may not have revealed her plan to you but it's not like she was telling that she was here for other reasons.

But I already know you have some very strong feelings on this so I won't push the issue.

A lie by omission is still a lie.
Concealing from someone that their soul my be destroyed until the exact moment where you have the most chance at getting something for yourself irks me.
Not telling me ANYTHING beyond rumours, telling me she does not trust me yet expects me to trust her irks me.

Overall I dont do the DR since I cant know what the hell is going to happen, and wont be told what will happen. People can do it if they so chose, I dont.
