I'm going to have my PC die at the end of this game. A couple of days ago there was some discussion about the new version of CRS and I think it was mentioned you could knock out Alistair and take the AD yourself? Or am I dreaming....

Yup, it's been in CRS for awhile.  And if you do that, you get the lovely scene of devastated Alistair holding your corpse.

*cries*

Excellent, thanks! Lol, I'm not looking forward to crying but I'll do a multiple ending to dry my tears. Wanted to get some screens of Alistair at the funeral this time around, as well. I think I was too heartbroken the last, and only, time my PC died.

The knockout was a great addition to CRS!  So much better than letting Alistair die.  But still soooooooo sad!  :(

I more meant in the scene itself.

Besides Alistair as the king needs his daddy cannon in working order.

It will work, but I have to sort of rearrange the scene. I will probably do it, but I'm working on a bed scene now :bandit:

*wants this so very, very hard*

Alistair is going to be very, very tired by the time CRS is completed.

I must be the only person who gets repulsed and whose skin starts crawling every time they see a commercial for The Expendables...

Anyway. I was playing around with the Final Fantasy XIV Beta character creator and for lulz tried to make Alistair. He ended up as an anorexic looking elf guy with super gravity defying hair. It was *so* funny but I deleted him because it was scary. It was very much what you'd expect from a Final Fantasy character (all the dudes look like they're gonna run off the screen and join a j-pop boyband).

You're in such denial about your Alistair love, axekix. C'mon, embrace it!

Nevah!

Note:  My review of the Expendables is that I spent the entire movie in a state of mild arousal.

After reading that, I'm  in a state of mild arousal.  How you doin'? B)

That was so sad, i'm never going to do it again.  She came to love Alistair, but never revealed her true feelings.  She knew in the end, it would be like Wynn said - she would only hurt him. It was nice  to tell Morrigan what she could do with her DR.  Ali didn't hold my dead corps, is that just if you are in love?

Oh man, I don't think I'll ever be able to choose that ending... Maybe I'll make a save, do the deed and then go back and do it "for real"... That's a lot of gameplay, though, between saying no to the DR and the archdemon. :T

O_o  I don't know whether to be flattered or disturbed that I'm the one that came to mind for that.  Let's go with flattered.  Posted Image

Yeah, we do need to stay on-topic.  I've been trying to make sure when I respond to things, I'm at least including something about Alistair.  Hrm, we need something new to discuss...

How about this?  In the realm of pure speculation here, we see in Awakening that Alistair really isn't considered a Warden anymore, probably because he's King.  How do you think he feels about this?

Good one.

I think in any situation he would feel a little bad but If the HNF is queen and they are in love I don't think he would have any regrets (perhaps he would feel the same with the non-HN mistess, if he was happy with the situation). On the other hand solo king or, maker forbid, married to Anora Posted Image he would be saddened by the fact that the only place he felt he belonged didn't acknowledge him...again.Posted Image

Good point Yankee.   In this last game I played, he was hardened, but didn't romance the Warden.  He still kind of kept whinning about being king, I even got an approval hit after the LM, no matter what I said.  I never noticed so much whinning when he  is going to have his queen.
