I have to agree with Yuki and KoP here. Morrigan has your ticket to happiness. Either take it and live with the consequences (of which there are few immediate ones besides the PC and Alistair getting to survive to have their own hot monkey sex after the Blight) or don't and suffer.
...and therin lies the entire core of Dragon Age. It's all about the
choices that we make throughout the entire journey and how we deal with the consequences of our actions.
Look at the major quests throughout Origins. At crucial points you are asked to make decisions on what faction to align with - Broken Circle: Mages or Templars? Paragon of Her Kind gives you two: Bhelen or Harrowmount? Branka of Caiden? Nature of the Beast: Elves or Werewolves? Landsmeet: Loghain or Alistair? Landsmeet aftermath: King Alistair or Queen Anora? The list goes on. When you think about it, the creators of Dragon Age have created a personality test disguised as a game. Consider your first runthrough. What choices did you make? Were they choices that deep down you fully expected to make? Or were your choices ones that went completely against your nature?
And on that philosophical Virgoan note, I must call it an evening. Fortunately for me I am working a half-day tomorrow so hopefully I should be on earlier than usual. See you then!
