@Giggles ... yes I'm seeing that lol. I think Ostagar and maybe asking him about being a templar are safe. Talking about what it was like being with the other Grey Wardens is also romance free. It might just be easier to ask which convo's *don't* start have the potential to start the romance.

I figure it's for those Couslands who want to make themselves queen but who feel guilty doing it as just a friend (or even non-Couslands who want to RP that they waited until he wasn't king to woo him).

If you do things right (don't tent him and leave at least one relationship starter, like the lamppost convo), you can re/start the relationship after he's dumped you post-Landsmeet.

I think it's when he asks why he should be king and you can say "power is attractive" or something like that.

I just finished a playthrough with no romances, and had absolutely no problems keeping Alistair friend-zoned. His romance triggers are pretty obvious to me, in some conversations, he even hints at the rather obviously.



Pretty much, if you don't want Ali-love, don't tell him he's handsome, or if you do, just tell him it's an observation, don't get excited. A couple times, in various convos, certain dialogues will lead to him refering to you as beautiful, or some other awkward flirtation. Keep it friendly.

If you've taken Logaine and that's the reason he's dumped you, can you still restart with those conversations? Or does it require him to still count as a party member?

He needs to be a party member. The only conversation you can have with him post-Landsmeet if Loghain is spared is if he's marrying Anora and there is no chance for anything good coming out of that.

No. Sparing Loghain completely destroys any romance possibilities. If Loggy lives, that's it.

I'll take whatever tmp gives us, because the linebacker shoulders and man-hands on the HF have to go, and so do the scrawny limbs on the elves, and I don't like the nudies.  It's up to your taste if you like the combination of slightly more booty and less boob.

Or he's just too upset to hold a speech? Granted he does hold one if he rules on his own and the Warden does US, but I figure he's just too upset/angry wherever the emotional rollercoaster takes him to hold a proper speech so its easier for Anora to just do it.

Ooh, I love that. I wrote something for my Dwarf Noble too, and that feels like it compliments it really well. Not sure I can link it though since I submitted it to deviantart, not fanfiction.net.

@Skadi ... oh I know I won't have any trouble avoiding it. I've played the game many times.. It just occured to me that wow there are a lot of starters for him, almost like the writers were saying ROMANCE HIM! No, no ignore Leliana and Zevran *waves hand* they are not the romances you are looking for.

On another note, I just got the random encounter with the 2 dead elves I think and the 4 shades that pop up. One of the dead elves had that note saying why didn't we just take the flying eagles. Made me giggle. And now I kind of want to watch LotR.

On yet another note, kind of related to this thread, does anyone know why my posts in some threads - including this one - do NOT show up in my Recent Activity? It's not filter related that I can see because all of the filters are checked to show stuff.

I think it has to do with the fact that you have to have a game registered to see or post on the Gameplay/Quests Spoilers subforums.

Basically, if you log out there are subforums you can't access. Your activity in those subforums aren't sent to the feed.

Thanks! And I don't see why not, we link stuff from dA all the time.  Use the standard reply form, highlight the text you want to hyperlink, and click the hyperlink button...it looks like a glove with an infinity sign (or a chain link) in front of it.  Then you just paste your link in the box that pops up, and your text is hyperlinked!

There are several morphs available and I might try others down the road (for variety).  The one I chose, Sexier Alistair was a simple install (just plopped the file into the override folder) so it's easy to remove if you try it and decide you don't like the new look.

Tis true. The game really wants to make sure you have a lot of chances to start his romance as opposed to the other ones, where you only have a chance or two. Annoying, to say the least.

I have begun having the same problem recently.  It seems the more active I've become in the forums, the less threads show up on my "home" page.

I don't think that's the issue since as you can see under our Avatars, both Elessara and I have registered our games (indicated by the game icons).
