Yikes! Then cute and adorable might not be the best way to describe the picture... :(

A good thing you sent them a message. You don't lose anything by sending it and if they answer then it clears up why the image was in violation of the terms of service.

You could also upload them here on the Bioware site and as far I'm concerned, there are no restrictions (especially if you keep the album private). Sadly the images get resized when they are uploaded so it's not really an ideal alternative.

By the way, since you're getting lots of Top posts lately, I had an idea for a custom pic, although it doesn't really involve Alistair. It's in the Gauntlet when you meet Bryce's spirit. With my character I always like to RP that she's skeptic and hostile towards the spirit at first, but when he gives her the amulet she breaks down in tears, falling to her knees and trying to grasp at the spirit. Perhaps you could do something like that? It's also feasible to add Alistair to the situation by having him comfort the PC after Bryce's spirit disappears.

No, they're still cute. The PC could just as easily be thinking 'but...I do not like green eggs and ham.' I wanted to be restrained about their sadness, because it's not something that stops them, or they go on about, although Alistair continues to feel baldly about it. Maybe I should have gone for a little more sad.

I have to use existing animations, so it won't be possible to do exactly that. We never see items being passed hand to hand, and while there is a kneeling animation, there's no grabbing animation that wouldn't force the character to stand. I think I can get the feel of that for you, though.

I figure the other characters (in this case, Alistair) can see the spirit, too, in the same way they all see every spirit in the next room and not just their own, so working him in shouldn't be a problem. A 'holy crap!' expression should do the trick. ;)

Erm...ToP. What are the odds. I'll work on that picture for you, but in the meantime, here's a couple more from that last series.

And you got another top... and again, because of me! ;)

EDIT: Awww, you'll actually do it? Thank you!!! And on that note, I really gotta go to bed.

Good night!

Heh, that also makes it your fault that I haven't finished my story. ;) No, I kid. I ran into some writer's block and had to figure out what the problem was, which I have now done, so it's all good. I do have to buckle down and write instead of playing in the toolset so much, though.

Sure, I'll do it! That's a strong moment for the PC and well worth illustrating. Night!

Just so you don't feel all alone, I'll confess I do the same, and I generally play Rogues so it's not like I'm uber squishy or anything!  I just like seeing him run across the room in my defense (reminds me of when my hubby and I are playing Runes of Magic and I get attacked by a mob... he usually responds with a "get away from my wife!" followed up with an attack).

@Errant: That makes me wonder if my Alistair and Zevran will be taken because there in their underwear. I use Photobucket also because I didn't like ImageShack.

@Tigress: I played Runes of Magic... I enjoyed the game for a bit ,I even have a nice house there.

While I'm here I'll ask. How crazy would it be for Alistair to agree to travel to Highever early, I mean after Lothering (maybe the circle) early, I'm thinking of it as a way he and Ms Cousland could both sort things out and refocus to face what's coming.

I went back to Cousland Castle early on once - got my butt whooped (I was on nightmare).  And that Temple of Valerok, or whatever it's called - thoes 2 guys protecting the final boss - whew.  I was doing ok an nightmare all along, but when I got there I had to go down to easy .  I think doing that fight on nightmare is harder than the harvester - I really don't think its possbable.

What staff is that? I'm having trouble finding a staff I like for Jaina.

It's called Silvias Firestaff, and it was part of a set called DarkBlades.

Cool, got a link? I can't seem to find it on Nexus

It took me forever to find this on Nexus!  Why can't modders use the same name for the file and for the listing.  Most of this stuff I don't use, but there's a couple nice weapons and mage staves.  I don't like the robes on females, but a few of them don't look bad on male mages.

The Darkblades set is called Some New Items on Nexus.

About the amount of damage the sword and shield spec does ...
I always considered that the "tank" spec.  Alistair's (or any s&s warrior's) sole purpose in combat is to draw enemies to him and absorb as much damage as possible, while the higher-damage-output but lighter armored party  members kill them off.  At least from too much time spent as a tank in WoW, I didn't think they were meant to do a lot of damage.  That's why, as soon as I get my party better equipped, I switch him to dual weapons.

Does that make sense?  Or am I just revealing my WoW nerdage?

If you get a response from photobucket, would you let me know what they say?  I'm baffled by some of their decisions to remove some of my pics and leave others up.  One thing I have noticed is if I use the words naked, nude or smut in the picture name, it is more likely to get removed.

*edit - love the new pics!

Tuppence has what a tank does down pat.

The builds all folllow a basic philosopy:

Sword and Sheild: It matters not how hard you hit, but how hard you can be hit.

Two Hander: It matters not how hard you can be hit, but how hard you can hit.

Dual Wielder: It matters not how hard you hit, but how many times you can hit.

@Tuppence: Dont feel bad I have WOW Nerdage.... I still heal as a resto shaman . I agree about tanks. Thats why I always have Alistair doing tanking. Tho I might try something different later.

The darkblades robes are gross. Is it just me or do the robes get smaller and show more skin than usefullness??

Yeah, well like I said, I don't like the female robes in that mod, but some of the male versions aren't awful.  Here's one.

It makes perfect sense of course!

Don't get me wrong, I know that the S&S warrior is perfect for the tank role. However I really wish that talents for said build focused on both the sword and the shield. All twelve talents are shield related, not a single one is focused on the sword, making the build almost entirely defensive, which makes it really unappealing to use on my main PC.

Also I don't even like to play with a tank, I go for a purely offensive party. Kill them before they can lift a finger!

Any build can tank though.

Rouges/Dual Wielders just need a high dex so they cant be hit often.

Arcane Warriors/Blood Mages who have the right build can tank.

Tanks dont have to absorb damage per se, they just need to pull attention and many builds can do that.

Not sure why people have so much trouble with Photobucket. I have Ali sprawled in all sorts of half-nudity and they've never made a peep. I do keep my albums locked, though.

I also really prefer warriors with damage skills instead of defense.  That's why I usually re-spec Alistair as soon as my party gets better equipped and why I am not planning on playing a s&s warrior myself.  Once my other melee companions get heavier armor, they seem to draw more attacks and my mage doesn't get jumped on quite as much.  But I do love Alistair's Taunt ability.  All the attackers are drawn to him like a magnet and he can tough it out.  It's hot.

Me too.  But yeah, tanking is boring and thus even if I had one, it would be an NPC's job, just as buff mage is boring.  Why sit around raining sparkly shimmers of mojo on your followers when you can blow things up and make people's blood boil.

The weird thing is my Amelia, who is sword and shield, deals pretty decent damage. I think she, Alistair, Shale, and Wynne (I'm not so sure on Shale...maybe it was Sten?) just demolished Flemeth in about 5 minutes, only took us 1 health poultice and a lyrium pot.  She's as blast to play with.  But I can't recapitulate it with my S&S dwarf commoner.

I guess Amelia is just special - I can't recapitulate her looks either!  Alistair has a special wife.  :P

It doesn't affect posting pictures here?

This was the first time I used titles, and I suspect that they have a title search database that's just full of words that might indicate something unsavory. With untitled pics, they'd have to rely on complains and random scanning.

If undewear aren't the issue, then I'm guessing that some perv saw something that wasn't there. ;)

Very cool!  My hubby and I have been playing since April '09.  We started playing it while waiting for D3 to come out and I guess we're still playing it because we're still waiting.  ROFL  I get tired of it sometimes, but since it's the only game he enjoys playing I go along, just to do something "fun" with him.

Edited to add this (just so we stay on our fav topic!)

I love the way he looks at my Warden and though you can't see it here, by the silly grin on her face, she apparently does too.

Never had a problem with it, and I use titles too.  Of course, they wouldn't let me search for SurelyForth's Breasts poster because searching for "breasts" was considered unsavory.  Image IPB

I played Aedan as S & S until about level 12 or 13 and had to restart him as a rogue.  The idea of going through the Deep Roads like that made me want to poke my eyes out.  2H is slow to start out, but the finishing moves are sexy, so I actually enjoyed that when I played it a bit on my AW.  Didn't get too far with her though, either.

Mhairi is a pretty impressive S & S warrior, though.

Which makes me wonder, now that they're going to get rid of DW warrior, what the S&S tree is going to look like (and 2H for that matter).  I've currently switched my warrior to S&S just to get a feel of it.  Basically I often finding myself just auto-attacking and throwing in the occasional "pimp slap" (hehe), taunts, and grievous insult when needed. Other than that and activating and switching from one sustained talent to another, there's not much else I can do... Yeah, my warrior miss holding a sword in each hand *sigh*...Wait, that didn't come out right...
