I have to say I was skeptic at first with the portions for tmp's mods,I did his newer version where the chest is suppose to be a lil bigger and I can say I like it. The chest is not glaringly big.like natural bodies

Oh well, in my first CousCous playthrough I didn't know about the hardening mechanics, so Alistair ended unhardened on the throne *wince* but at least he had a wifey :P Since then I learned my lesson and do the "Stand up for yourself"- option right ;)

To be honest I dislike the "hardening" option--or, more specifically, if I had said the line that you have to say it would have been completely out of character for my (mage) PC.

I just made Anora the queen and Alistair stayed with me--perfect ending IMO.

I dislike the whole idea of hardening, and think the whole experience of losing the Wardens and fighting the Blight would harden Alistair naturally with or without my PC and her reaction to Goldanna.  So I always harden him and just ignore the game mechanic.

cmessaz's mod helps me rp the hardening process.  The dialog choices are much better for my warden!

Improved Romance Scenes and Fixes - Alistair - http://social.biowar...m/project/2573/

It's not the dialogue, it's the whole idea that in one conversation Alistair changes his orientation to life based on something my PC says.  That is... ridiculous.  I know the Warden is god almighty, but like I said, I think the whole experience of the Blight is a hardening one so I just ignore it.  I'm not sure about Leliana, it seems a different setup for her but since I don't pay attention to her character anyway, can't really compare the two.

I agree.

What's worse, if you back out of hardening Alistair at the last moment by telling him "no, I didn't mean it that way" during the conversation in camp, all the thinking Alistair had done is thrown out the window just because the PC told him to. Ridiculous.

I can offer some input on the Leli hardening process. It's a little less ridiculous, seeing how the hardening convo occurs after she has an emotional crisis. It's a more feasible situation seeing how people seek their friends for advice when faced with such a crisis, but it's still ridiculous, as once again you're defining the personality of a character by simply saying a different line.

I've always thought that a good alternative to the hardening process is to have a bunch of separate "hardening" or "life changing" lines on every single conversation you have with a character. Maybe after a few of those were chosen, the character could come up to you with an optional conversation telling you how what you have been saying has influenced them.

The events that occur through the game combined with the decisions the PC made, should also play a small part in this. And it could go both ways, hardening or softening a character.

@Zjarcal .... if they could make the "hardening" process the accumlation of experiences that would be great. I mean for Alistair the start would be Ostagar and Loghain's betrayal. Then there's the whole Redcliffe thing depending on how you deal with it. I mean each main quest could have given a plus or minus depending on the outcome and then at some point you could have a talk and through these experiences then his outlook on life could change. It would make a lot more sense.

@Briiel ... I don't think you have a choice in that.

Yep it has been done before in a Bioware game, so I found it a pity that this opportunity has been missed here. In Jade empire you have different conversations with Sky (The LI, if you choose so) and you can actually change his way of thinking too, but that happens in several conversations not in just one.(as far I can recall) In telling him your opinions you can actually lure him into the "way of the closed fist/ evil- side."

Your welcome Inclemency. I just went through Awakenings, and it was nice to have the ring with the pc to remind her of her husband who was back in denirum waiting for her.

I haven't played Jade Empire yet but that sounds great. Although from what I've heard, I would be more into Silk Fox...

The only official Alistarian holiday we observe is Ritual Dismemberment Tuesday, but by tradition we post sexy stuff on Thursdays and derps (funny faces, bloopers etc.) on Mondays.

Being a dwarf can be incredibly awkward... or awesome, depending on how you feel about such things. Sometimes you can't look away, though.

I think so too  Oh I still love Jade empire. It's that game which made me selling my soul to Bioware. So they already own it since a couple of years. :innocent: Storywise it's typical Bioware-scheme and the dialogue system is of course not so advanced as it is now. But as always you are able to choose and is has its consequences. I found the first time to be very emotional and loved the setting (old fantasy china) <3

ROFL! You catch the best moments! I think that's my favorite challenge in the game, hitting that screen cap button at JUST the right moment to catch JUST the right action. I give you 10 stars Yuki, tis truly a talent you have!
