Ok, just when I think there's nothing new for me, I get shocked. Even AFTER I discovered TONS of things in the CE Origin that I could check out, I was sure that was it. Wrong...

"you're pretty for a Grey Warden. Don't let anyone tell you that you don't belong. The first Warden Maric brought to Ferelden was a woman. Best Warrior I've ever seen"

And do you KNOW who said this to Eilis Tabris????

Image IPB

I totally went 0.o IRL!

Even Alistair is stunned

@Lady Jess: That line is SUPPOSED to fire for all female Wardens (and the toolset says he's just making an observation not trying to hit on you) but for some reason it only fires for CE. And I highly doubt that he is in any way aware of what happened with Vaughan.

I'm making a female to romance Alistair, who do Alistar romancers usually sismance with, Leliana or Morrigan? Who will not critize the romance.

Oh yes, I'm so looking forward to this, lol. But I figured that the Ali-thread is learning to hate me then. Because I'm not only babbling about Lenya then, I also will have screenshots to emphasize, lol.

Oh patience is a ****. I truly hope for a DA:O Ultimate edition release soon. Would save me at least a bit of money xD

I didn't take it as hitting on her, the tone was not even CLOSE to hitting on her, and I doubt he would know what happened with Vaughn considering I didn't even tell Cailan?

I was simply surprised to hear ANYTHINg remotely positive, and kind coming from him at all.  I was actually quite impressed, and even more confused on who the man really is.

sismance? Errr never heard that before, ok. None of the companions criticize it to you, except a little lecture from Wynne which she later apologizes for (when it shifts from adore to love).

Actually Lady Jess, Morrigan will bring it up. But you can answer in a way that doesn't give you disapproval with her. And Leliana will also talk to you about it in a giggling kind of way.

The line I believe that avoids it is:
"He's an idiot but he's MY idiot"

That so fit my CE.

I see. Some people in the Loghain thread a few days ago were upset about that line because it only fires for CEs and that origin does not lend itself easily to being thrilled that human men are complimenting their appearance at Ostagar.

Whoa!

I really wish that line would have fired for me (was a mage PC), that would have been neat.Image IPB  What can I say, my Warden likes compliments.

LadyJess, he has some very kind, even positive moments if you recruit him and treat him kindly. If you have him on "Friendly" (Needs fix by ejoslin) or "Warm", there are some painfully tender (For lack of a better word) lines he'll say. I.E. his two banters with the Dog. The conversation after Riordan spills the beans. (Not the DR request!) Him saying that his life is not worth saving but if the DR is a chance to save yours, he'll do it.... Kudos to Simon Templeman. His VO makes the character so utterly brilliant.

Well I look at it, from a CE view at least, as they're just used to it. My Dalish would have kicked him in the nuts, but it's an every day thing for my CEF, and she'd definitely know the differences in tone.  I'm used to alot of things that SHOULD tick me off on a regular basis, but usually I just suck it up and move on.  It's all in the tone, Daveth? oh I'd slap him...but the tone Loghain or Alistair use? No, harmless.

They all bring it up yes, but not in a critical context except Wynne who warns you that it's ultimately selfish blah blah blah. Morrigan ask about his performance, if you tell her he's good she chuckles and says she imagines it's a nice distraction. Leliana brings it up as a giggle fest. So like I said the ony one that straight up criticizes you is Wynne, who apologizes later.

And so you are saying that Morrigan's approval is more important than you being respectful to Alistair? :P

BTW, I HATE the fact we can't tell Alistair to stfu when he refers to Morrigan as a b*tch. Not only do I consider this to be the lowest form of vulgarity, but I find it insolent he didn't at least have the courtesy to apologise when I tell him that I like her.

I'm not a fan of that line either. I really think it could have been done without.

Both Leliana and Alistair call Morrigan a ****. As much as my males like Morrigan, I'm prolly forgetting someone.

On the topicc of Alistair
I looked up Lel/ Morri comments on Alistair, both of them seem happy for the fem warden. well atleast Leliana, its hard to read morrigan sometimes.

Alistair's seems more unprovoked despite their dislike of each other. Leliana only calls Morrigan a **** after the Warden chooses Leliana over her and Morrigan says something about how the Warden will be thinking of her when he's with Leliana. As much as I love Morrigan, she kind of deserved it right then.

And in that case, they are talking to one another.

Alistair on the otherhand says it to my face and then doesn't apologise when I tell him I like her.

Imagine:
A: "that girls is such a b*tch, I hope she dies"
B: "Dude, I love her"
A: "Oh? Ok. Now let me waste more of your time as I try to be friendly with you"
