Sorry that I ruined that morph for you Tigress!

But the one you're using now is much better.

LOL!  You didn't... there was something buggin' me about it too, but I couldn't put my finger on the problem (other than just trying to get used to Alistair with dark hair -- kept expecting him to have an Orlesian accent ROFL).  But, after loading this one up, I'm much happier with it.  It's still "my" Alistair with the color of hair I wish he'd have come with originally (I'm a sucker for dark haired men).

Interesting thing I found: if you have dog with you, and are all bloody, he'll clean it up for you if you talk to him...lol

Yup, he will and I thought that was great the first time I saw that dialog option!  But I think it's only you he cleans up and I left him at the gates.

ACK!  ToP... Gotta go grab a new pic...

Goofy, but still adorable.

@Lady Jess...I find this both convenient and disturbing, especially when you're covered in darkspawn blood. Wouldn't our dogs eventually develop an immunity if they keep licking darkspawn blood from our armor? If so, wouldn't our dog also be able to slay the arch demon?

If you talk to the Ash Warrior at Ostagar, he'll tell you that dogs that  survive swallowing darkspawn blood do indeed become immune to the taint. So bascally, Dog is immune when you get him. In the case of my HN, Dog is laying there when I finish my joining, so I figure he took it too.

hit submit too soon...

However, you taking the joining is diffeent. It's magically prepared darkspawn blood. You are taking in the taint itself. Dog has simply survived the sickness the blood causes, and  his immune system basically defeats it, like...chicken pox. You get it once, and are basically immune after. There are occasions of recurrance as an adult but they aren't frequent. You are taking part in almost a blood magic ritual, in which your body absorbs the taint and magical qualities in order to use it.

Dog already got sick from swallowing darkspawn blood, remember? He gets healed with that flower and is suddenly immune. For HNs, Duncan makes Dog stay with him and probably takes care to make it immune. Note that most of the dogs don't need the flower, just the one that was probably the HNs and who got sick in the Wilds before coming into the care of the Kennel Master who couldn't make him immune to it after he'd already gotten sick.

I doubt it's the noble's dog...the guard tells you the Kennels are the Kings.

Second, Ash Warrior confirms dogs that survive the taint are immune. so it's not sudden, it just is.

/pokes head in...  I've been playing with kisses all day and decided to make a Alistair-kneeling-for-a-dwarf kiss.  I'm sure better Alistair kisses have been done for dwarves, especially since this one is quite rough, but, well, here's Alistair Kissing a Dwarf!

I dunno, in TC Kell says that Hafter is as much Grey Warden as the rest of them.  So if we knew how killing the AD worked in the first place, it might work with Dog, but we're moving out onto a limb in more ways than one there.

So, could our dogs then technically kill the arch demon? I know this would be a bit anticlimactic, and the dog could then become the Hero of Ferelden; but if he is tainted like a warden then he could make the final blow. It is an interesting alternative to the DR.

Yeah, DahliaLynn and tmp have some very hot kneeling kisses for the dwarf ladies, as well.  I'm just amazed at you guys who brave the toolset.  I played around in it for a couple hours and haven't opened it since.

No, because swallowing plain old darkspawn lood is not the same as taking the joining. The joining is a ritual, magic is involved there. Swallowing the blood itself, without a ritual, without the lyrium, is just...swallowing blood and either surviving it and having immunity, or dying. There's much more to the ritual than swallowing just the blood. And as Addai said only one dog has ever (I think thats what he meant, could be wrong) ever taken the actual joining, though it's not CLEAR that Kel isn't just saying his immune to the taint..

What IS the regularly scheduled Friday Alistiar thread program anyway?

Ladies and gents night at the Gnawed Noble Tavern. Alistair is paraded in front of clawing squeeing fangirls and fanboys.

We're also missing a program for hump day.  Any suggestions?  Or did I just make one? Image IPB

*grin* I'll still with Zevran kisses then!  Gah, dwarves are annoying at best to work with :/

Anti-climatic?

More like epic to me!

I agree with Zjarcal on this one. I'm still sad that my doggie couldn't duel Loghain in the Landsmeet :(

@FFZero .... yes it *is* a bit one sided. We should let the Archdemon call in a couple of its generals just to even things out a bit.

Agreed. Archie stands no chance in a one on one fight against our faithful mabari.

True. Maybe it was too epic and that's why Bioware left it out. Here's one of my favorite Alistair pic's just to keep things on topic.

Yeah but it's Eamon, His first attempt at child rearing the kid slept in the kennels until Isolde got her panties in a twist and then he shipped him to the chantry. His second attempt, the kid gets possessed by a demon. I don't even WANT to know what he did to his dogs to be honest...

Given that possessed Connor says this

Oh, I remember! I had their ears cut off and fed to the dogs! The dogs chewed for hours! Shall I send it to the kennels, Mother?

I think that they're probably fine. The elves...not so much.

Wow, she looks good in that helmet.  I thought my Dalish looked a little silly in it.

My Dalish mage, Sylphe finally got to LM yesterday.  Really buggy!  She killed Vaughan, but he was there to side with Loghain.  She agreed with Anora that she'd support her as queen, and for the first time, Anora betrayed her.  Sylphe's and Alistair's plan was to leave the throne to the ice queen and they would concentrate on rebuilding the wardens.  But after that betrayal, plans changed.

You told her all about how you wanted to murder her father, huh? She doesn't like that no matter how much or little he deserves it.

Finally got my ToP done (got sidetracked into killing AD first while I was waiting for the pics to upload).

Lovely!  If it won't mess up IRS I will definitely want to add that when I go to play a dwarf next time.  I was appalled the first time I levitated to kiss Alistair.  However, at Arl Eamon's estate, I somehow managed to wind up on a chair in the Arl's study so from that point on, I just figured Alistair boosted me up on a tree stump whenever I wanted a smootchie.
