Keep in mind, that beneath all the morphs is the same Alistair we all know and love. So while some of the morphs I don't care for, I remember that we're romancing him for who he is and not exactly what he looks like.
Though that helps too.  Image IPB
As for being classic Alistair fans, where do we draw the line for modding?  Example:
Image IPB
Is that going too far?

Looks like his face is "smoothed out" so that he looks more youthful (less wrinkles) eye pupils larger and colored lighter....
I prefer the original but like the eye enhancement, if anything I would add more scruff, (which still maintains realism)
Nothing I like better than a smexy five o'clock shadow:wub:

Correct.  The lines on his face have been lightened, though not totally erased, and I'm using an eye texture from yukidama that was created using actual eyes, for more realism.  I also have a tooth mood for lighter teeth, but not blinding white.

Yeah, mine is pretty much the same as LD's.
Image IPB
I never really minded the lines on his face, but in certain lighting (mainly in camp), he'd look like he was in his 50s or something. It's just a change in eye texture to make it look more real (can't really tell that much at a distance) and the lines on his face. Nothing else was touched at all.

EDIT- closeup

Lol, I installed that 'Slink's Random Age' and against advice, had it turned onto only Level 1 during an origin play. (It is suggested not to have it on at all during an Origin play, or at least to zero.)  Tamlin and my PC had to fight a drake near the entrance to the cave...lol, that was, umm, special! This mod is going to be fun.

Not bad, but makes him look a little too young for me. A happy medium between the two would be perfect. :)

Your pic actually highlights how I didn't erase all the lines.  Different lighting does show off the lines to different extents.  Camp light is very flattering to him, as is the light in Redcliffe.

Reika:  If you have the toolset, you can adjust it to your liking.  Or if you don't know how to use it, I can play with the lines for you.

True. Depending on where you are and his expression, the lines are more or less evident.

Then again, it all comes down to personal preferences. A lot of morphs make me harf, but play however you want. I personally like Alistair looking the age he is supposed to be just in terms of the lines on his face.

Personally, the story doesn't work half so well for me if he's 20ish, so I go with somewhere around the age he looks and sounds (to me), rather than that. The older he is, the more poignant the fact that he'd never thought he'd find love is. From 20 (ish) year old, it's kind of 'wait a few year. kid, you'll meet someone.'

Yup.  I do like a hint of lines, simply because he's likely spent a lot of time outside and will have them naturally from squinting and whatnot.  Complete baby face weirds me out a bit.  XD

Yeah, it's why I've pegged him at his mid 20s at least. Then again being raised in the Chantry probably would've made him seem older in some ways (the weight of duty and all that) yet still boyish in others.

Considering the ages people seemed to get married, and the fact that if you haven't had a kid by Anora's age you're assumed to be malfunctioning, it's not a stretch to feel that way at 20 then, where as it's closer to 30/40 current day.  That, and I took it more to mean I never thought I'd find love because I was trapped in that chantry, then made a warden and life dictated it was unlikely than anything to do with his age.

I like him the way he is, however I wouldn't mind getting rid of the wrinkles. Don't know if it's just my graphics card but sometimes he looks much older than what he really is. Just bugs me a bit.

It's my feeling that they originally created him to be 32. Since in the toolset that is what it states. They possibly only later on found out that it doesnt work with the timeline, so they called it an "error".

So I prefer to go with their error, since it suites my own personal tastes. If I were 21 for example, I would probably be more prone to wanting him with the youthful smoothness, but since I'm not...I like the original intent. Error in age, error in design...and all.

Edit: (this is more of a personal preference which is happy with said error,  than a declaration of whats "right")

My sentiments exactly.  Sometimes accidents are happy ones.   I like the more babyface looks, but romancing him like that... hm.  A litfle cradle-robbing for my taste.  Then again lately I have started bumping up the age meter on my PCs, too, and I wish I had done it on more of them.  The only origin that seems very young to me is CE.

I actually liked the pic someone posted of him with a scar on his nose.  It's something that easily could have happened in someone who grew up with military training.

Eh, it's fine if you play like he is older if since is your preference. It just does not work for me considering the evidence. Plus, I do play my Wardens on the young side (very early 20s) so it fits well for me. Even leaving the lines on his face morph does not necessarily make him any older since that can be accounted for by stress and the sun.
