Lol, I installed that 'Slink's Random Age' and against advice, had it turned onto only Level 1 during an origin play. (It is suggested not to have it on at all during an Origin play, or at least to zero.)  Tamlin and my PC had to fight a drake near the entrance to the cave...lol, that was, umm, special! This mod is going to be fun.

ROFL!  No wonder you look so pale when you go back to hunt for Tamlin later, right?

One warning about the mechanics... if you're in a fight that goes right into a cutscene after the fight's over, you might find you're in the cutscene with beasties left to kill if you didn't get all "extras" taken down.  It's generally no biggie but you'll be pulled right back into the fight once the cutscene is done.

Edit for ToP!

Last kiss in Fort Draken... won't get another until I finish Awakening and start a new Warden.

Talking about Alistair in military training just gives me an excuse to post this again.  Because I think you can't look at this too much.

That artist's 'Lady Cousland' is amazing, as well.

Where in the bioware folder do you find the morphs?

If you're asking where the morphs come from, that would be either here or here.  If you're asking where the actual files reside (files that you download from various modders), they can be found in your My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\packages\\core\\override folder.

That is currently my desktop and for some reason I spend an awful lot of time looking at my desktop.

Eh, it's fine if you play like he is older if since is your preference. It just does not work for me considering the evidence. Plus, I do play my Wardens on the young side (very early 20s) so it fits well for me. Even leaving the lines on his face morph does not necessarily make him any older since that can be accounted for by stress and the sun.

There is evidence supporting both.
Evidence with regards to storyline management? Yes. 21-24 Evidence regarding original plans? yes, Physical design, Voice direction and original intent (toolset 32).
They wouldn't look very good if they would say anything supporting the latter, so they had to regard it as error. That's why I can still play like he is 32 without thinking I'm illuding myself.

So as you can attribute the lines on his face to sun exposure, I can attribute them to original intentions changed later in production by the after-production found timeline inconsistencies.

According to her site, some of those things you see there were pictures taken by her. Check out her site !

No Tigress I'm referring to the actual game files. If I was to change the Alistair head using the toolset, where would I find the original mor - file?

everything in it is from Stock, unless she paints in a tattoo or in one instance, the cousland crest on a sword. The model you see in the Alistair one was holding a violin where the shield is in the original.  There are things from photos, too, as was mentioned earlier.

Someone in the projects section has a file with all the original .mor, and more importantly, the .mrh files, which you would need to change it in the toolset, there are a whole bunch of characters included.

Sorry, meant to edit my previous post, not create another  :(

I don't know exactly where you can find them but you can download the resource files here

http://social.biowar...m/project/1331/

and open them in the toolset.

By the way, where in the toolset does it say he's 32? Where's that data stored?

I was just doing screenshots of my PC/Alistair to compare and didn't have fraps running! D'oh! My CEF and Surana both look a bit younger than him. My Dalish looks a good deal younger. My HNF however looks the same age, with the morph I use that is...Scruffistair. I always put my Wardens around 18-20 depending on Origin.

CEF: 18, considering her marriage has just been arranged.
HNF: about 19, based on Fergus being older, and her being left in charge for the first time. Also based on Howe trying to arrange her and Thomas, with a Bryce that hasn't forced the marriage issue. To me it seemed Howe had been hoping for a while, so 19.

DEF: About 20, since she is a hunter and has her tattoos. I'm not about to do the math about the age of being "grown up" based on being called Dha'len (child), I take that as the elders always seeing her as a child of the dalish.

Surana: She's about 20 too, No basis for that, just her morph looks it to me.

I too attribute the lines on his face to stress, sun etc not age. And let's not forget they're around his eyes, and he jokes ALOT and has a sense of humor, laugh lines are sexy at any age. And can appear at any age.

Open the creature gen00fl_alistair.utc resource, then right click on character, and select open resource.

Thank you for the compliment :)

I was going to wait until tomorrow to put up this one but you might just get away with it as wallpaper. the quote is from President Calvin Coolidge. Enjoy!

Erm, aside from maybe his appearance, it has been stated many times by Gaider and other devs that the whole older, gruff, worldly Alistair was dumped and completely rewritten. I don't really get how you can still think he is 32, when it has been stated that he is younger and that the character in the toolset description isn't really the one in the game. I am not saying you can't imagine him being in his 30s, but the toolset info is not relevant or correct in terms of the Alistair in the game. Granted, it *may* be possible they left his face the same or similar, but aside from that I don't really see how the toolset info is relevant to his current, final in game version.

That, and there's just no way he was in the chantry, training as a templar for TWENTY years and didn't take his vows.
