I guess I don't see Jowan as a friend. He seems all too willing to risk his "friend" for his own selfish purposes. What was he expecting to happen to me after he escaped? Meh. I have no sympathy for him and his epic level of idiocy. Though I have played characters that are BFFs with him, but I die inside over his stupidity.

I agree that Jowan is an idiot (a lovable idiot) and I perfectly understand why some people would feel that the "friendship" aspect is forced upon them (it kind of is).

As for what was he expecting? To not be made a tranquil, that's it. Obviously his plan wasn't the brightest one and it blows up in everyone's face, but I wouldn't hold that as him not caring for his friend. His dialogue in the dungeon in Redcliffe castle if you decide to have him executed (after Eamon is cured) is incredibly touching (if you're a mage of course). He accepts his death gracefully and still calls you a friend even if you're the one who will carry out the execution (you can choose to back out though and leave the task to whoever does that stuff in the castle).

Like I said, Jowan is a fool, no doubt about that. I still love him though.

That moment as a mage is one of the most powerful in the entire game. :crying:

Something really cute posted on the toolset: cutscene samples thread I felt would be nice to share :)
This was made more for a toolset tutorial example than anything serious, (by bloodsongvengeance) but it was entertaining nonetheless :)

What a fun way to start the day, with that 'outtake', thanks for that, DL!

And as far as what Alistair would watch, I see him mostly watching Moose and Squirrel.

I wonder what Duncan would have to say if I didn't rat him out to Irving for once and he knew that I helped Jowan...pretty much because he wouldn't stop pestering me? Chances are, he'd be a lot less impressed. Image IPB

The hair is part of the Beautiful People Hair REN collection - http://www.dragonage...file.php?id=750

When you find the flower in Korcari Wilds, has anyone noticed that the HNF looks ... well, she looks like she's been smoking a lot of something that's made her very mellow. Hard to tell from this screenshot, but if you let the shot play, she sorta drifts back and forth.

Lol, will have to pay attention to that next time around. About the hair, I do have that but yours is the first PC I've seen that looks great in it. Lol, the one time I tried it my PC looked like a hag and I lasted until level 3, I think.

Question...if you kill Connor, what happens to Isolde (who still was alive)? This is the first game I've played that Connor died, and at the end of the game Eamon said his 'family was gone'. I was surprised that Isolde was gone, too? Divorced? Drowned herself? Jumped out of castle window? Eamon came to his senses and killed her?

Edit:  Pretend your favourite screen of Alistair is here, Photobucket cut me off until the 6th...exceeded bandwidth

@ inclemency

I think that's a bug, she's still there according to the toolset. He makes a comment her pestering him she wants another child and I think the slide at the end says something like she gives birth to a  daughter but dies in labour I think that child turns out to be a mage as well.

That slide is in the toolset as well? Interesting, and makes more sense than what actually happens in the game...thanks. :)

I got that slide when my Dalish mage killed Connor.  Like the other poster said, Isolde has a daughter, dies in childbirth, and the daughter is also a mage.

Oh, I didn't get that slide at all. My Cousland PC killed Connor, but the slide I got was the normal 'Eamon stayed to help, then abdicated blah blah', then the next was about Teagan and marrying Kaitlyn.

I think I might have been a little bit more disturbed to see that about Isolde having another child. Talk about age confusion...I think the Isolde character is one of the worst for that.
