Ahhh yes, that thread was unfortunately locked down...

but in all honesty? I don't believe it was shut down because the posters were off topic. I think it was more of an excuse used to justify the shutting down of the other fan threads which were getting rowdy at the time,. so in order to maintain peace, they shut the Alistair thread down as well. (otherwise the Gush thread would have been trampled upon for not being shut down for the same reasons even though it was relatively peaceful there)

I spoke to the mod that locked it a few weeks ago and she said that the main reason it was locked was due to its size. If you go to the site rules, rule number 9 speaks of threads that are too big
