The animation tutorials will tell you how to set the scene, Layout tutorials will tell you how to make unique areas, although you mostly can use game areas. There's a couple of things you have to do. If objects show up purple, that means you have to activate them to make tham not do that in the cutscene editor, which is where you take the shots. If they aren't unique, you can't do that, and have to cover them with something (hence the large logpile in this scene. You also have to set the cutscene editor so that vfx refresh themselves when you play the animation in the editor. Sometimes you need to add lights, either to the cutscene or the layout. And you have to make character 'creatures' so you can dress them like you want, and appropriate morphs for the PC. The easiest way to take the picture is to drag the camera view window to the full size, drag the timeline until it disappears, then take a screen shot. Then take it into photoshop and crop out the extraneous stuff.
