Seeing Alistair in Duncan's armor is chilling for some reason.

Edited for ToP and my clumsy screencapping abilities:

I used that for a while I like him in it, but I had to change it because of distortions.

@Tuppence does Alistair turn into the Hunchback of Notre Dame for you in Duncan's armor if you get too far away?

No, I haven't noticed that.  I use tmp's version of it.  I have noticed a few other armors do really weird things like give the character spider legs.

And, no, I just was having fun with Walking Bomb and buckets of blood in the last game, kept me amused.

I got one to, don't remember what level. I just finished the mage tower, so around 8? 10? I kept getting annoyed at having to swap to other characters to do thinks like pick locks and disable traps. I know people said they do it automatically, but I've never gotten them to do so, nor find the option in tactics.

And well, I'm just blood thirsty. I enjoy stabbing things in DA, especially when I get a finishing move. :D

Ah, well I do have Lock Bash mod, though I usually have Alistair do it anyway so I can watch him destroy stuff.  <3  I mostly ignore traps- there it helps to have played so much that you know where they all are- but if you can stand back and blow things up, you never get close to have to worry about them anyway.

Mage is just so versatile.  You can still slice and dice, plus your origin is not as limited rp-wise.  I wouldn't still be playing if it weren't for that class.  Gawd, I would have stopped a long time ago if all I could play were warriors.

I haven't played DA:O in a while; when does this cutscene trigger and which Mod is needed?

Just checked, the one I have is not Tmp's.  Thanks!

I've gotten the spider legs too. I usually ignored it camp on others but when it started happening to Alistair I couldn't take it, especially in battle.Image IPBImage IPB

Lol, I made it through the game once as a warrior.  I kept respec'ing to get the different achievements.  Omg if I had to go through a whole game as a 2H, I think I wouldn't last the game.   Sword and Board isn't very exciting to play, either, imo, but I like fast moving chars so Rogue suits me, as does mage/AW combination.

Triggers back at Eamon's estate after killing Howe.

Rogue lover here! :ph34r::D

I plan to do all the classes before Dragon Age 2 comes out.  I am an achievement junkie.  2H Warrior will be the last.

Yes, it's the link that Yankee posted.  cmessaz made these beautiful origin-specific scenes with Alistair.

It was pretty deadly getting through the game as an archer, too, which was SO disappointing. My husband couldn't believe I wasn't playing an archer because I always play them in rpg's. Awakening was fun as an archer, though...omg, talk about 1 hit kills.

Lock Bash is wonderful.  And I always have either Zev or Leliana set to automatically disarm any traps we come across.  So they scurry around disarming, while the rest of us fight.

I promise this is the last of my OT posts (for tonight, anyway. . .):

I didn't know you could set "disarm trap" tactics so I didn't bother, but recently in the Circle Tower I heard Leliana call out that she'd spotted one and next thing I knew she was crouched down, fiddling with something on the floor. My girl is a smart one!

Back sort-of OT: This is my first time going through the Tower without Alistair and it feels weird. I have to take Wynne, so that's one slot down, and then I have to take a Rogue for locks and Zev came with no lock-picking skills (wtf is up with that?), so that means Leliana, and then a friend of mine told me that I simply HAVE to take Shale through the Tower if I've got her at that point. Since Alistair and my Mage aren't exactly getting along right now, this would be the playthrough in which to ditch him for the Circle quest; so, we're rocking the Tower with girl power. :wizard: That said, Shale does make some hilarious comments throughout, over and above her usual in-battle snark. I heart Shale.

My first 2 pt's were as a DW warrior, but I haven't finished a warrior character since then.  I've played a few partial games.  I played a 2H as an arcane warrior and that was pretty fun, though I didn't finish her game.

I didn't really enjoy warriors either, DW shines best with rogues, I have Alistair for sword'n'nboard (I know I can get a mod to respec him, but eh), 2H doesn't do much for me either.

<3 my rogues.

Ohh, never thought of equipping one of my AWs with a 2H...hmm, but wouldn't be until later on for attack speed is the big problem in the beginning.  Will give it a shot, anyway, thanks for the idea!   Might have some fun screens with my current 2H'er Alistair.  :)

That, of course, is if I ever get out of Lothering!  Lol, my party is still there, they made it to the bar finally.  :)

My canon Cous is a dual wield bomb throwing rogue. The one I'm playing now is a sword and board warrior though.

Bombs are great. I didn't bother much with traps, the enemies often avoided them even when I had them in the doorway.

Yeah, you know I tried traps and just never could get the hang of it. By the time they are set up I'm getting my pretty little head bashed in.
