That's my belief as well. I can see why he'd be reluctant to cheat on anyone he actually marries, but I can't see him willingly giving up the person he really loves most. He's lost enough of them in one way or another.

He has to be hardened back when you do his personal quest or he won't agree. Also, you have to pass a persuade check in the convo after the Landsmeet.

Yeah, Alistair has to be hardened, you need to kill Loghain (If Alistair does it, he just takes the throne) and you need to make a persuade check of "I name Alistair king and I will rule beside him".

I believe you need a decent persuade skill to do it, but since I play high cunning rogues with maxed coercion, I never had problems making that check.

Yeah, that one just bothered me a lot. Maybe more people did order him to sacrifice himself? To each their own, but this is one achieve I'm not likely to ever make.

Impossible. He's at least no longer pissed but it's still awkward. Maybe in the distant future if you keep hanging around he'll change his mind but by game's end, no.

Oh of course! Not to mention, Arlessa of Amaranthine, and Commander of the Grey...hehe. I just see Mistress Cousland as a perfect situation in her case. She's just not Queen material, but Anora is. If he marries Anora, they can deal with the heir thing, while he keeps the woman he loves, she keeps a bit of independence and power in her own right, and the GW have a big booming voice in Ferelden.

And yes I am curious about why the achievment makes it look like as if you necessarily commanded him to. Of course I use that achievement name and description as proof (among many) that one can rp that Alistair is a subordinate and that you can indeed command and order him (because some think this is not a valid way to rp). But that description is way too limited it does not accurately describe situations where you don't command him to do it.

Yeah, that's what my Brosca's gonna do. She may not have the political savvy, but she sure as hell isn't going to fade out into oblivion xD Mistress with Anora and Alistair on the throne and Gwaren sounds like a pretty good deal for a duster (especially since she never wants to go back to Orzammar, fzcking tools telling her she doesn't exist...)
